USER PAYMENT TERMINAL, PAYMENT SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM IMPLEMENTED ON THESE
To provide a payment-purpose user terminal, a payment system, and a computer program executed at the terminal and the system, which improve convenience for a customer (user) at checkout (in particular, duration of money amount inputting of products). A payment-purpose user terminal capable of communicating payment information with a cash register terminal that is connectable to a server includes: an operation input device configured to receive an operation input by a user; a user communication device configured to communicate with the server or the cash register terminal; and a user control device configured to control the operation input device and the user communication device, and the user control device receives selection of a payment method through the operation input device in duration of money amount inputting of products at the cash register terminal.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing device in a POS system in which a commodity can be registered and a payment request can be issued using a mobile terminal operated by a customer, includes a memory that stores flag data indicating a first value indicating that none of registered commodities requires confirmation by a store clerk when payment is made or a second value indicating that at least one registered commodity requires the confirmation, and a processor configured to, when a transaction is started, initialize the flag data to the first value, upon receipt of a request for registering a commodity, determine whether the commodity requires the confirmation, upon determining that the commodity requires the confirmation, update the flag data to the second value, and upon receipt of a payment request, when the flag data indicates the second value, issue a notification for notifying a store clerk that confirmation is required.
TRANSACTION PROCESSING DEVICE, TRANSACTION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM
A transaction processing device of an embodiment includes a first registration unit, a linkage unit, and a second registration unit. The first registration unit stores a content of a transaction related to a user in response to a request from a first terminal made by an operation of the user. The linkage unit links the process of storing the content of the transaction related to the user performed by the first registration unit to a second terminal. When the content of the transaction related to the user is sent from the second terminal, the second registration unit stores the content of the transaction sent from the second terminal as the content of the transaction related to the user in the first registration unit by using the association.
Printer
According to an embodiment, a printer includes a printer unit configured to print images on paper, a connector connectable to a detachable storage medium, and a controller. The controller is configured to acquire time information from the storage medium when the storage medium is connected to connector, and then store output information in the storage medium. The output information includes device information related to a print function of the printer unit and the acquired timing information in association with each other. The printer may lack an internal clock yet still output information associated with time information.

Pairing a payment object reader with a point-of-sale terminal
In some examples, a system and method for pairing a payment object reader with a point-of-sale (POS) terminal is described herein. The payment object reader includes one or more light indicators configured to display information in an optical pattern of one or more colors, brightness, lightness, and intensities, wherein the light indicators display a first optical pattern representative of an operational status of the payment object reader in a first mode, and a second optical pattern representative of a pairing code in a second mode. A display control component, executed by a processor, is configured to control the light indicators in accordance with the pairing code to generate the second optical pattern, the second optical pattern when shared with the POS terminal enables pairing between the payment object reader and the POS terminal. When paired, the payment object reader allows the POS terminal to accept payments from a customer.

Non-scan loss verification at self-checkout terminal
A system and method for verifying a non-scan item at a self-checkout point-of-sale terminal is provided. A merchandise item that isn't scanned at the self-checkout terminal is identified by a detection system. Further, a user helper device is provided to verify the incident by prompting the shopper for an input. The user helper device is operably connected to the self-checkout point-of-sale terminal and the detection system to determine and verify a fraudulent incident occurring during a transaction activity by the shoppers. Further, a store attendant device is provided for human intervention when necessary.
