A computer-implemented method for cloud-based testing of a payment network may include receiving a test configuration for testing a payment processing network, configuring a simulated worker generator for generating a plurality of simulated workers according to the received test configuration, reading commands to be executed by each simulated worker among the plurality of simulated workers from a command bank according to the received test configuration, configuring the plurality of simulated workers according to the commands and the received test configuration, starting a swarm test of the payment processing network by the plurality of simulated workers, reading results of the swarm test from the plurality of simulated workers, and saving the results to storage.

METHOD FOR ACCURATE OBJECT TRACKING WITH COLOR CAMERA IN MULTI PLANAR SCANNERS

Methods for accurate object tracking are disclosed herein. An example the method includes receiving, from a first optical imaging assembly having a first field of view (FOV), a first image captured over the first FOV and based on a decode of an indicia associated with an object of interest, identifying the object of interest within the first image. The method further includes determining a location of the object of interest within the first image and mapping the location of the object of interest within the first image to a predicted location of the object of interest within a second image, the second image being received from a second optical imaging assembly having a second FOV and the second image being captured over the second FOV.

Methods and systems to detect items left in merchandise carriers

Methods and systems to detect items left in merchandise carriers are disclosed. A disclosed example system includes: an input device configured to receive an indication that a merchandise carrier is to be empty from at least one of a user or a device communicatively coupled to the input device; an overhead imaging device configured to capture an image of the merchandise carrier at a checkout station in response to the indication; an image processor configured to detect based on the image an obscuration of a portion of the merchandise carrier by the presence of an item in the merchandise carrier, and generate an alert signal when the portion of the merchandise carrier is obscured; and an output device configured to receive the alert signal and provide a notification of the presence of the item in the merchandise carrier.

A sales data processing apparatus includes a display, a product scanner to obtain a commodity code from a product being registered in a sales transaction, a storage unit to store journal data including product information for registered. A controller is configured to record product information for products registered in the sales transaction and output a notification of an error in the sales transaction when detected. The notification is output to the display screen and includes information regarding resolution of the error. The controller executes a first countermeasure for resolving the error, then stops the sales transaction if the error is not resolved. The controller then executes a second countermeasure after the sales transaction has been stopped and starts a new transaction if the error is resolved by the second countermeasure.

SALES DATA PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD

According to one or more embodiments, a sales data processing apparatus comprises a processor that registers merchandise which is a sales target and generates transaction registration information having commodity information of the registered merchandise and transaction event information. The processor further detects a failure in the sales data processing apparatus and determines whether the transaction registration information can be transmitted via a network. The processor outputs a code symbol corresponding to the transaction registration information if the transaction registration information cannot be transmitted via the network after the failure has been detected.

METHODS AND APPARATUS TO INDICATE OFF-PLATTER WEIGH CONDITIONS
