Routing method for mobile sensor platforms
A method for routing, through a geographic region over a time interval, a sensor platform mounted on a vehicle is described. The method includes receiving a precision level for at least one constituent of an environment measured by a sensor of the sensor platform. The precision level corresponds to a mean concentration of the constituent(s) over the time interval. A reference dataset corresponding to the geographic region and the time interval is selected. From the reference dataset and the precision level, at least one minimum number of distinct samples for a plurality of geographic segments of the geographic region is determined. The method also includes determining a number of passes for the geographic region over the time interval using the minimum number of distinct samples for each of the plurality of geographic segments. Each pass of the number of passes is part of a route for the vehicle.
METHOD FOR RECOGNIZING AT LEAST ONE NATURALLY EMITTED SOUND PRODUCED BY A REAL-LIFE SOUND SOURCE IN AN ENVIRONMENT COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE ARTIFICIAL SOUND SOURCE, CORRESPONDING APPARATUS, COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT AND COMPUTER-READABLE CARRIER MEDIUM.
The disclosure relates to a method for recognizing at least one naturally emitted sound produced by a real-life sound source in an environment comprising at least one artificial sound source. The method is implemented by an audio recognition device, and it includes simultaneously obtaining a first audio signal from a first microphone located in the environment and a second audio signal from an audio acquisition device associated with the at least one artificial sound source; analyzing the first audio signal, delivering a first list of sound classes corresponding to sounds recognized in the first audio signal; analyzing the second audio signal, delivering a second list of sound classes corresponding to sounds recognized in the second audio signal; and delivering a third list of sound classes, comprising only sound classes included in the first list of sound classes which are not included in the second list of sound classes.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR RESPONDING TO USER REACTION AND OUTSIDE SOUND AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed is a wireless audio device, which includes at least one microphone, at least one speaker, at least one sensor, a processor, and a memory storing instructions, and the instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the wireless audio device, while the wireless audio device outputs a sound for reducing an outside sound acquired through the at least one microphone through the at least one speaker, to identify a specified outside sound of the outside sound acquired through the at least one microphone, to output a notification sound for indicating that the specified outside sound is identified through the at least one speaker, to identify a motion of a user of the wireless audio device through the at least one sensor, in response to outputting the notification sound, and to stop the output of the sound for reducing the outside sound based on the identified motion.
Detecting falls using a mobile device
In an example method, a mobile device obtains sample data generated by one or more sensors over a period of time, where the one or more sensors are worn by a user. The mobile device determines that the user has fallen based on the sample data, and determines, based on the sample data, a severity of an injury suffered by the user. The mobile device generates one or more notifications based on the determination that the user has fallen and the determined severity of the injury.
SOUND DETECTION FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICES
The subject disclosure provides systems and methods for providing locally trained models for detecting individual sounds using electronic devices. Local detection of individual sounds with a detection model at an electronic device can be provided by obtaining training samples for the detection model with the electronic device, and generating additional negative and positive training samples based on the obtained training samples. A two-stage detection process may be provided, in which a trigger model at a device compares an audio input to a reference sound to trigger a detection model at the device. The detection of individual sounds with a detection model at an electronic device can also leverage audio capture capabilities of multiple devices in an acoustic scene to capture multiple concurrent training samples.
Providing monitoring services and access to information to caregivers, patients with implanted pressure sensors, and distributors
Methods based on providing monitoring services and access to information to caregivers, patients with implanted pressure sensors and distributors.
Nurse call system
A nurse call system that enables a call for a nurse from anywhere in a hospital ward while a patient carries a mobile phone is provided. The nurse call system includes a plurality of patient mobile phones 10 are carried by hospitalized patients and connected to a controller 8 via a base station 12 as with nurse mobile phones 9, and each patient mobile phone 10 has a hospital room ID and a nurse call slave device ID registered therein for recognizing a bed location of the patient carrying the patient mobile phone 10, thus enabling a nurse call operation for transmitting a call signal with the hospital room ID and the slave device ID added thereto, to the nurse call master device 7 and at least one of the nurse mobile phones 9, through a predetermined operation.
ADAPTING NOTIFICATIONS BASED ON USER ACTIVITY AND ENVIRONMENT
According to a general aspect, a method can include receiving, by a computing device, an electronic communication. In response to receiving the electronic communication, the method can include determining, by the computing device, a current activity of a user of the computing device, and selecting, based on the determined current activity of the user, a communication channel of the computing device for providing a notification of the electronic communication. The method can also include providing the notification using the selected communication channel of the computing device.

SAFETY CORRIDOR ARRANGEMENT
The invention relates to a safety corridor arrangement for use in emergency situations, including an activation means, an operation means, associated with an activation centre, and a safety corridor suitable to guide or direct a person on a particular pathway. The activation centre, through activation of the activation means can cause operation of the operation means, and the operation means creates the safety corridor to guide a person along the safety corridor towards an exit. The invention also relates to a point of exit arrangement, and methods of use.
