Presence detection and notification system
A system and a method for presence detection and notification. The system includes a a first unit including a first sensor and a first visual alert, and a second unit including a second sensor and a second visual alert. The first unit is constructed to send a signal to the second unit to trigger the second visual alert, when the first sensor detects a presence. The second unit is constructed to send a signal to the first unit to trigger the first visual alert, when the second sensor detects a presence. The first and second visual alerts are constructed to be triggered independently of one another.
RAILYARD TRAIN DETECTION AND EARLY WARNING SYSTEM
The train detection system comprises a wireless communication network further comprising train detection modules attached to catenary poles at the entrance and exit of the railyard. Each train detection module is equipped with a plurality of diverse sensors configured to detect trains and other on-track vehicles. The diverse sensors are simultaneously active and work together for detecting an approaching or leaving train. The train detection modules generate train alerts which are transmitted wirelessly over the wireless communication network. Each of the railyard workers wears a personal alert device capable of wirelessly connecting with the train detection modules and receiving the train alerts over the said wireless communication network. The train alert modules are capable of transmitting alerts wirelessly to personal alert devices and other train alert modules. Train alert modules are capable of generating audio visual warnings for any personnel which may not be equipped with personal alert module.

Systems and methods for improved operations of ski lifts increase skier safety at on-boarding and off-boarding locations by providing an always-on, always-alert system that “watches” these locations, identifies developing problem situations, and initiates mitigation actions. One or more video cameras feed live video to a video processing module. The video processing module feeds resulting sequences of images to an artificial intelligence (AI) engine. The AI engine makes an inference regarding existence of a potential problem situation based on the sequence of images. This inference is fed to an inference processing module, which determines if the inference processing module should send an alert or interact with the lift motor controller to slow or stop the lift.

The communication booth may provide wireless network service through the wireless network module, and charging service through the charger module. The control module controls the germicidal lamp to disinfect and sterilize the booth body. The sensor may detect activities inside or around the booth body. The control module, based on the detection from the sensor, turns off the germicidal lamp so as to avoid harms to people.

A portable protection apparatus includes a protective shield, a handle, a rechargeable battery, electrical circuitry configured to be powered by the rechargeable battery, and a first display element positioned on a first side of the protective shield. The first display element is configured to selectively display an instructional message when directed by the electrical circuitry, wherein the first display element is configured to be visible at a distance from the first side of the protective shield. The portable protection apparatus also includes a second display element positioned on a second side of the protective shield configured to display the instructional message to the user holding the protective shield.

The first display element is configured to selectively display an instructional message when directed by the electrical circuitry, wherein the first display element is configured to be visible at a distance from the first side of the protective shield. The portable protection apparatus also includes a second display element positioned on a second side of the protective shield configured to display the instructional message to the user holding the protective shield.
Electronic device
An electronic device comprises a sensor, a notifier and a controller. The sensor is urged to a test part side of an examinee and can detect pulsation at the test part. The notifier notifies information for a position of the sensor at the test part. The controller controls the notifier to notify information for a position of the sensor at the test part based on pulsation at the test part detected by the sensor.
