It is provided a method for controlling operational state of a sensor device for break-in detection. The method is performed in the sensor device and comprises the steps of: determining, while in a low-power state, that a wake-up condition is true when a vibration measurement associated with a barrier is greater than a wake-up threshold; transitioning, when the wake-up condition is true, to an active state; determining, while in the active state, when an activity condition is true, the activity condition being based on vibration measurements associated with the barrier; increasing the wake-up threshold, and transitioning to the low-power state when the activity condition is not determined to be true within a first duration while in the active state; and decreasing the wake-up threshold, when the sensor device stays in low-power state longer than a second duration.

An electronic barrier alarm sensor having a flexible sensing device. The sensor may be mounted to a door, door frame, window, window frame, object or wall to detect when a door or window has been opened, that an object has been moved or to detect the presence of an animal. The flexible sensing device comprises one or more attributes that change as the flexible sensing device is bent, or unbent, by operation of a door, window, removal of an object, or the presence of an animal. Based on the changes, the electronic barrier alarm sensor may transmit an alarm signal when one or more measured values of the one or more attributes changes by more than one or more predetermined amounts.

Disclosed are a monitoring method for a shared recyclable logistics container and a system thereof, capable of timely and accurately finding a recyclable logistics container which may be stolen. In the invention, a recyclable logistics container may be time-shared by a plurality of users; a server stores valid area sets corresponding to each user, each valid area set comprising one or more geographic areas; the server continuously obtains a container identifier and positioning information of the recyclable logistics container; a valid area set corresponding to the current user of the recyclable logistics container is queried according to the container identifier; and if it is determined, according to the positioning information, that the recyclable logistics container camps outside the geographic areas in the found valid area set and the camping duration exceeds a predetermined threshold, an alarm is given.

The shopping cart security system is configured for use with a hand propelled vehicle known as a shopping cart. The shopping cart security system is a wheeled structure that allows the hand propelled vehicle to roll over a supporting surface. The shopping cart security system: a) determines the GPS coordinates of the shopping cart security system; b) compares the GPS coordinates of the shopping cart security system with a previously determined set of GPS coordinates that determine an operating perimeter for the shopping cart security system; and, c) disables the rotation of the wheeled structure that forms the shopping cart security system when the shopping cart security system is determined to be outside of the region bounded by the previously determined operating perimeter.

Method and apparatus for monitoring the status of a boat
A status monitoring system and the devices used for the status monitoring system is disclosed. The status monitoring system includes a controller device, a plurality of rod monitoring devices, and a motor monitoring device which works together to provide a layered approach to securing the boat. The controller device is configured to communicate with a smart device via cellular network. The controller device triggers an alert once it detects unexpected events on the boat or receives intrusion notifications from other devices in the status monitoring system. Unexpected events can include the boat moving out of the geofence, boat vibration, and unexpected starting of the vehicle. A method for monitoring the status of the boat is also disclosed. The method can include receiving an activation signal, receiving a GPS signal, receiving vibration signals, energizing the siren and transmitting notification and boat location to the cloud when detecting at least one trigger.
