ACCESSING SMART HOME DEVICES USING A FINGERPRINT SENSOR ON A DOORBELL DEVICE
This disclosure includes techniques for controlling smart home devices upon entering a home with a fingerprint sensor in a doorbell device. After capturing a fingerprint of a digit of a guest and sending the fingerprint to a server device, the server device matches the fingerprint of the digit to an entry in a guest fingerprint database for a first user. The server device sends an operational command to a smart home device separate from the doorbell device and located at a same premises as the doorbell device. In response to receiving the operational command from the server device, the smart home device performs an action corresponding to the operational command.
HOME SECURITY GATEWAY DEVICE WITH INTEGRATED ANTENNAS AND AUDIO ASSEMBLY
A home security gateway device may include a housing body characterized by a perimeter extending about the housing body. The home security gateway device may include a plurality of carrier bodies distributed about and connected proximate the perimeter of the housing body at several mounting locations. Each carrier body may be configured to support a three-dimensional antenna. The home security gateway device may include a plurality of three-dimensional antennas, each received by and connected to a respective carrier body. A first three-dimensional antenna may be configured to send and receive radio frequency signals on one or more first channels, and a second three-dimensional antenna may be configured to send and receive second radio frequency signals on two or more second channels. The first channels may be distinct from the second channels.

Vehicle Network Communication Protection
A vehicle includes a gateway controller configured to interface a diagnostic port to a vehicle communication network. In response to a perimeter alarm system being in an armed state, transfer of messages from the diagnostic port to the vehicle communication network is inhibited. A change session diagnostic request received from the diagnostic port is transferred to the vehicle communication network in response to vehicle speed being less than a threshold and an ignition switch begin in a run position. The transfer of the change session diagnostic request is otherwise inhibited unless intended for a module designated for reprogramming keys.

SAFETY NOTIFICATIONS
A method of transmitting a safety notification comprising: determining a user location of an entity; receiving event data including an event location of an event; determining a range from the event location; and where the user location is within the range, transmitting the safety notification to a user device regarding the event.

System and method of alternative tracking upon disabling of monitoring device
A method is provided. The method includes: establishing a database of a plurality of individuals, data for each individual including identity, short range wireless device information, and at least one rule regarding expected interaction by the individual relative to the area; receiving probe signal information from a plurality of sensors around an area, each of the sensors being configured to receive probe signals from proximate wireless devices, the probe signals lacking information directly identifying an owner of the originating wireless device; cross referencing at least some of the received probe signals with at least a portion of the database; identifying, based at least on the cross referencing, a presence of an unauthorized individual in the area; and notifying a supervising authority of the identified unauthorized individual.

Solar panel efficiency and security monitoring device
A system for monitoring efficiency and security of a solar array includes a voltage-based monitoring circuit and a photoelectric sensor. The system detects a voltage across the solar array and compares the voltage to changes in light detected by the photoelectric sensor. In response to reduced light detected at the photoelectric sensor, the system generates a low-efficiency alarm. In response to reduced voltage while light detected by the photoelectric sensor remains constant, the system generates a security alarm signal. The system may also include a PIR sensor, an RFID reader, and a solar panel circuit including the solar panels of the solar array. In response to an infrared alarm at the PIR sensor, an unauthorized alarm at the RFID reader, and an open circuit alarm signal of the solar panel circuit, and the security alarm signal, the system may transmit a master alarm to a monitoring center.
