Systems and methods for controlling a firearm. Components embedded in a portion of the firearm enable the firearm to determine if a user of the firearm is authorized to do so, and either enable or disable a firing mechanism of the firearm accordingly. The firearm may also send communication signals regarding the status of the firearm or events detected by the firearm to a remote device controlled by an authorized user. The system may thereby notify the authorized user of attempted unauthorized use of the firearm, that the firearm has been left behind by the authorized user, or that the firearm is being tampered with. The system may also include multi-tag or a voice-override features that prevent the firearm from being used against the authorized user should the authorized user lose control of the firearm.

An analytical recognition system includes a video camera, an antenna, and a data analytics module. The video camera is configured to capture video data. The antenna is configured to capture mobile communication device data. The data analytics module is configured to correlate the video data and the mobile communication device data to generate a profile of a person associated with the video data and the mobile communication device data. The profile has profile data including any one or a combination of the captured video data and the captured mobile communication data.

A method for disseminating information regarding a problem and administering medical interventions comprises providing a mobile device wirelessly connectable to a network, receiving and storing contact information corresponding to a designated list of information recipients, receiving, via the mobile device and via the wireless trigger transmitting to the mobile device, a signal from a user indicating the problem, receiving, via the mobile device, information regarding the problem, transmitting an indication of the problem to a rescue clearinghouse via the network, prompting a participant of the rescue clearinghouse, different from the user, to make a decision about a course of action regarding the problem, and at least one of transmitting the information regarding the problem to the information recipients from the designated list and transmitting the information regarding the problem to a government rescue organization, based at least in part on the decision.

Sharing video footage recorded by audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices, such as video doorbells and security cameras. When an A/V recording and communication device records video footage of suspicious activity, or even criminal activity, a user viewing the footage may alert his or her neighbors by sharing the video. In various embodiments, the user may share the video with anyone of the user's choosing, including neighbors, friends, and family.

The present embodiments relate to improvements to audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices, including improved approaches to using a neighborhood alert mode for triggering multi-device recording, to a multi-camera motion tracking process, and to a multi-camera event stitching process to create a series of storyboard images for activity taking place across the fields of view of multiple cameras, within a predetermined time period, for the A/V recording and communication devices.

A personal safety recording system allows an individual to carry a concealed camera on themselves. The camera being concealed increases the likelihood of capturing any threatening or harmful behavior experienced or witnessed by the individual. The camera could be concealed in an owl or other shape and is intended to appear a normal clothing article. While the camera is recording a trigger or notification sequence alerts a friend or other third party that the camera is capturing an event that requires attention. The recording is sent through a transmitter or through another computing device such as a phone. The person's voice or buttons are examples of how the system could quickly and discreetly be activated to transmit the recording.
