Disseminating information to facilitate user safety
A method for disseminating information regarding a problem and administering medical interventions comprises providing a mobile device wirelessly connectable to a network, receiving and storing contact information corresponding to a designated list of information recipients, receiving, via the mobile device and via the wireless trigger transmitting to the mobile device, a signal from a user indicating the problem, receiving, via the mobile device, information regarding the problem, transmitting an indication of the problem to a rescue clearinghouse via the network, prompting a participant of the rescue clearinghouse, different from the user, to make a decision about a course of action regarding the problem, and at least one of transmitting the information regarding the problem to the information recipients from the designated list and transmitting the information regarding the problem to a government rescue organization, based at least in part on the decision.
Multi-Functional Personal Security System
A personal security system includes a handheld and portable alert device suitable for being carried in a woman's purse or even tethered about her neck. The alert device includes multiple input buttonseach being associated with different levels of insecurity, danger, or need for immediate assistance. The alert device may also be equipped with audio and/or visual alarms, bright lights, and a transmitter operable to contact police or security authorities immediately. In addition, the alert device may include a global position satellite (GPS) module or transponder operable to give exact geographic coordinates to police or other predetermined contacts as an aid in locating the alert device and user quickly.
Sharing video footage from audio/video recording and communication devices
Sharing video footage recorded by audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices, such as video doorbells and security cameras. When an A/V recording and communication device records video footage of suspicious activity, or even criminal activity, a user viewing the footage may alert his or her neighbors by sharing the video. In various embodiments, the user may share the video with anyone of the user's choosing, including neighbors, friends, and family.
Locating and signaling device, system and method
Systems, methods and devices for hands-free signaling for tracking, locating and/or monitoring a person are provided in embodiments herein. A system including a portable signaling unit comprising an intra-oral element and a sensor for detecting a compressive force from a user is provided in an embodiment herein. The portable signaling unit may be configured to generate a signal in response to the compressive force detected, in one embodiment. The embodiment further includes a relay device configured to transmit a signal from the sensor, a receiver configured to detect the signal from the relay device, and a processor enabled to receive a signal from the receiver, wherein the signal is used to identify and provide information about a location of the portable signaling unit.
Portable Siren and Emergency Call Device and Combination Thereof
Portable siren or emergency call device with a portable siren, comprising a loudspeaker (8), so as to emit an audio signal, preferably with a high sound pressure; an inner and/or outer switching element (14) for turning off and preferably for turning the audio signal on and off, and an outer switch and/or outer dummy switch (4).
MULTIFUNCTIONAL PERSONAL SAFETY DEVICE
A multifunctional personal safety device includes a main body having an ergonomic gripping surface, and a finger trigger for selectively activating a non-contact deterrent unit and an active deterrent unit. The non-contact deterrent unit including a controller, memory, wireless communication unit, a siren, a light, a laser, and a camera. The information captured by the camera is stored in one or both of a removable media card and the onboard memory. The active deterrent unit includes an aerosol canister containing one or both of a chemical irritant or an inflammatory agent. A safety switch transitions between a locked and unlocked position wherein the finger trigger is selectively blocked and allowed to engage the aerosol canister, respectively.

Neighborhood alert mode for triggering multi-device recording, multi-camera motion tracking, and multi-camera event stitching for audio/video recording and communication devices
The present embodiments relate to improvements to audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices, including improved approaches to using a neighborhood alert mode for triggering multi-device recording, to a multi-camera motion tracking process, and to a multi-camera event stitching process to create a series of storyboard images for activity taking place across the fields of view of multiple cameras, within a predetermined time period, for the A/V recording and communication devices.
Deterrent device communication system
A deterrent device communication apparatus is linked to a deterrent device. When the deterrent device is in a ready state, the communication apparatus cooperates with an intermediate communication device to establish a communication path with an emergency response center through which the holder of the deterrent device can communicate.
Mobile signal unit, mobile operating unit and mobile defense system
A mobile signal unit is responsive to a mobile operating unit yet sufficiently compact and lightweight for unobtrusive connection to an item of clothing, a purse, and/or a backpack. It has a siren powered by gas or electricity. It has a wireless first interface, through which the siren can be remotely activated and/or deactivated by the mobile operating unit. The siren can be activated manually by an activation command that matches an activation code stored in a memory unit of the signal unit and/or the operating unit. The siren is automatically activated after the wireless connection to the operating unit if a connection signal strength of the operating unit falls below a threshold and/or the wireless connection to the operating unit is interrupted.
