Thermochemical Temperature Indicators
A burst temperature indicator system for determining when an electrical contact or other component reaches a predetermined temperature. In operation, a trace material may disperse into a surrounding environment, and be detected, when the electrical component reaches a predetermined threshold temperature. One or more foil barriers may be ruptured or broken by temperature-induced gas pressure. According to another aspect of this disclosure, a rupture disk may be burst at a predetermined temperature to generate, or enable emission of, a light signal. According to another aspect, a rupture disk device acts as, or is associated with, an engine to drive one or more electro-mechanical and/or acoustic devices to signal the occurrence of a predetermined temperature.

LOCKDOWN APPARATUS FOR INITIATION OF LOCKDOWN PROCEDURES AT A FACILITY DURING AN EMERGENCY
Some embodiments are directed to a lockdown apparatus for facilitating initiation of lockdown procedures at a facility that includes multiple doors and is configured for occupation by facility occupants. A lockdown actuator is disposed at the facility and configured to initiate transmission of a lockdown initiation signal upon being actuated, the lockdown actuator being configured to be recognizably distinguishable from the fire alarm actuator. A lockdown communicator is configured to produce a lockdown initiation communication for communicating initiation of lockdown procedures to the facility occupants and individuals not disposed proximate the facility upon transmission of the lockdown initiation signal, the lockdown initiation communication being recognizably distinguishable from the fire alarm communication. A display is configured to indicate status of each of the multiple doors of the facility upon transmission of the lockdown initiation signal, the status including at least one of open versus closed, and locked versus unlocked.
LOCKDOWN APPARATUS FOR INITIATION OF LOCKDOWN PROCEDURES AT A FACILITY DURING AN EMERGENCY
Some embodiments are directed to a lockdown apparatus for facilitating initiation of lockdown procedures at a facility that includes multiple doors and is configured for occupation by facility occupants. A lockdown actuator is disposed at the facility and configured to initiate transmission of a lockdown initiation signal upon being actuated, the lockdown actuator being configured to be recognizably distinguishable from the fire alarm actuator. A lockdown communicator is configured to produce a lockdown initiation communication for communicating initiation of lockdown procedures to the facility occupants and individuals not disposed proximate the facility upon transmission of the lockdown initiation signal, the lockdown initiation communication being recognizably distinguishable from the fire alarm communication. A display is configured to indicate status of each of the multiple doors of the facility upon transmission of the lockdown initiation signal, the status including at least one of open versus closed, and locked versus unlocked.
INTEGRATED VOICE OVER IP COMMUNICATION IN FIRE SYSTEMS
A system for fire control and detection with integrated voice over internet protocol communication is provided. Aspects include alarm system devices which are respectively operable to detect various conditions within a predefined space and to take various actions relative to the various conditions within the predefined space. The alarm system devices are monitored by an alarm monitoring system and at least one of the alarm system devices includes a voice over internet protocol (VOIP) communication apparatus.
INTEGRATED VOICE OVER IP COMMUNICATION IN FIRE SYSTEMS
A system for fire control and detection with integrated voice over internet protocol communication is provided. Aspects include alarm system devices which are respectively operable to detect various conditions within a predefined space and to take various actions relative to the various conditions within the predefined space. The alarm system devices are monitored by an alarm monitoring system and at least one of the alarm system devices includes a voice over internet protocol (VOIP) communication apparatus.
