Alert system, delivery system and method and door bell system
An alert device includes electronic circuitry and at least a first antenna. The circuitry is designed for sending out a first signal, for wireless communication with at least a first hand held communication device, and at least a second signal for wireless communication with at least a second hand held communication device. The second signal differs from the first signal, preferably in at least one of transmitting energy, transmitting frequency, coding and pulse length. The device includes a switch for switching between: a first mode in which only the first signal is transmitted and a second mode wherein the first and second signal are transmitted; or a first mode wherein only the first signal is transmitted and a second mode wherein only the second signal is transmitted.
Management of a security system at a premises
A security system is described for managing a premises. The security system comprises security system components and a first controller. A takeover component receives security data of the security system from the first controller. The security data is used to configure a second controller to communicate with the security system. The second controller communicates with the security system components and replaces the first controller in management of the security system.
Doorbell communication systems and methods
The disclosure includes a doorbell having a visitor detection system that can comprise at least one of a camera, a microphone, and a motion detector. The method for using the doorbell can comprise recording, via the camera, video data that represents a video. The method can also comprise recording, via the microphone, audio data that represents audio. The method of using the doorbell can comprise transmitting at least a portion of the video data and at least a portion of the audio data, to a remote computing device that is communicatively coupled to the doorbell. The method can also comprise transmitting the video data and the audio data to a remote server that is communicatively coupled to the doorbell.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINATION OF FALSE ALARM
A system and method for determining a false alarm includes receiving a provisional alarm signal from a safety alarm system, the provisional alarm signal indicating an alarm type. At least one sensor senses at least one present condition of a type corresponding to the alarm type indicated by the provisional alarm signal. A normal alarm signal is transmitted based on the at least one present condition sensed by the sensor.
Lockdown apparatus for initiation of lockdown procedures at a facility during an emergency
Some embodiments are directed to a lockdown apparatus for facilitating initiation of lockdown procedures at a facility that includes multiple doors and is configured for occupation by facility occupants. A lockdown actuator is disposed at the facility and configured to initiate transmission of a lockdown initiation signal upon being actuated, the lockdown actuator being configured to be recognizably distinguishable from the fire alarm actuator. A lockdown communicator is configured to produce a lockdown initiation communication for communicating initiation of lockdown procedures to the facility occupants and individuals not disposed proximate the facility upon transmission of the lockdown initiation signal, the lockdown initiation communication being recognizably distinguishable from the fire alarm communication. A display is configured to indicate status of each of the multiple doors of the facility upon transmission of the lockdown initiation signal, the status including at least one of open versus closed, and locked versus unlocked.
Smart home-care lighting system
A smart home-care lighting system includes a lighting device having a portion that is light transmittable. The lighting device receives therein an illumination module for purpose of illumination, a detection module for detecting an outside environment, an alarm module and a sound effect module operable in combination with the detection module for indication and alarming, and an image pickup module for capturing and recording images. The lighting device also includes, arranged therein, a microprocessor and a main control module for transmitting and storing personal habits and health information. The device is arranged such that image can be captured in ranges that does not overlap to provide a surveillance range of 360-degree full view and operation can be made with the main control module for determination for proper action to be taken and may be used in combination with household appliances to construct a smart home-care system that benefit home members.
CUSTOM CONTENT FOR PREMISES MANAGEMENT
Methods and systems for managing a premises are described. A premises or devices at a premises may be associated with one or more premises zones. The one or more premises zones may be associated with corresponding content. If data is received from a device associated with a particular premises zone, then the content may be output. The content may be used to notify a user of an event, state change, or other indication associated with the particular premises zone.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR REDUCING FALSE ALARMS IN A ROBOTIC DEVICE BY SENSOR FUSION
The present technology generally relates to robotics. More specifically, the present technology relates to systems and methods for reducing false alarms by a mobile robotic device using data collected by sensors in the robotic device. An example of the technology may include receiving sensor data at one or more sensors; determining a first portion of the sensor data that matches one or more positive logic patterns of the set of positive logic patterns; determining a second portion of the sensor data that matches one or more negative logic patterns of the set of negative logic patterns; determining a third portion of sensor data that does not match any positive logic patterns of the set of positive logic patterns or negative logic patterns of the set of negative logic patterns; generating an alarm decision; receiving an input indicating that the alarm decision was incorrect; linking the alarm decision and the input to each other; and transmitting the linked alarm decision and input to the second pattern library based on the input.
REMOTE SOUND GENERATION FOR A HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEM
Various arrangements for sound generation based on remotely-enforced rules are presented. A rule definition for a rule may be received that defines a sound event to be remotely output in response to an occurrence of a home automation event. A home automation host system may monitor home automation data received from one or more home automation devices for the home automation event. In response to receiving home automation data indicative of the home automation event, the rule based on the rule definition may be executed. A sound execution message may be transmitted via a low-power wireless network to a sound generator, the message can include an identifier indicative of the sound.
TARGETED ALERT SYSTEM WITH LOCATION-BASED AND ROLE-BASED ALERT DISTRIBUTION
A system for distributing targeted alerts to building occupants includes building equipment and a targeted alert system. The building equipment are configured to detect an event within a building and generate an alert identifying the event. The targeted alert system is configured to receive the alert from the building equipment, identify a location within the building of each of a plurality of building occupants, identify a role performed by each of the plurality of building occupants, select one or more of the building occupants to receive the alert based on at least one of the location of each building occupant and the role performed by each building occupant, and distribute the alert to the selected building occupants.
