PREMISES MANAGEMENT CONFIGURATION AND CONTROL
Disclosed are methods, systems, and devices for management of a premises. The premises may comprise one or more devices, such as a gateway device, a control device, or a premises device. A computing device, such as a server external to the premises, may receive data indicative of the premises device. The computing device may determine to update a configuration of one or more devices at the premises, such as the gateway device or the control device. Configuration data may be sent to the gateway device to update the configuration.
LOCKDOWN APPARATUS FOR INITIATION OF LOCKDOWN PROCEDURES AT A FACILITY DURING AN EMERGENCY
Some embodiments are directed to a lockdown apparatus for facilitating initiation of lockdown procedures at a facility that includes multiple doors and is configured for occupation by facility occupants. A lockdown actuator is disposed at the facility and configured to initiate transmission of a lockdown initiation signal upon being actuated, the lockdown actuator being configured to be recognizably distinguishable from the fire alarm actuator. A lockdown communicator is configured to produce a lockdown initiation communication for communicating initiation of lockdown procedures to the facility occupants and individuals not disposed proximate the facility upon transmission of the lockdown initiation signal, the lockdown initiation communication being recognizably distinguishable from the fire alarm communication. A display is configured to indicate status of each of the multiple doors of the facility upon transmission of the lockdown initiation signal, the status including at least one of open versus closed, and locked versus unlocked.
Safety automation system
A safety automation system for an occupiable structure includes a computing management system, a first detection device, and a second detection device. The management system includes a computer processor, and a computer readable storage medium configured to run embedded software, The first detection device is adapted to detect a hazard condition and output an associated hazard condition detected signal to the computing management system. The second detection device is adapted to detect the presence of an occupant in the occupiable structure and the occupant's proximity to the first detection device, and output an occupied signal to the computing management system. The computing management system adjusts the sensitivity of the first detection device based on occupancy and proximity of the occupant to the first detection device.
METHOD OF INSTALLING A SECURITY ALARM SYSTEM AND WIRELESS ACCESS POINT
There is provide a method of installing a security alarm system in a building having one of a doorbell chime, a smoke detector, a carbon monoxide detector and a thermostat in an existing location. The method includes disconnecting the one of the doorbell chime, the smoke detector, the carbon monoxide detector and the thermostat from existing wiring thereof. The method includes removing from the existing location the one of the doorbell chime, the smoke detector, the carbon monoxide detector and the thermostat. The method includes installing in the existing location a security control panel. The method includes connecting the existing wiring to the security control panel so as to receive power therefrom.
Hardware configurable security, monitoring and automation controller having modular communication protocol interfaces
A single platform for controller functionality for each of security, monitoring and automation, as well as providing a capacity to function as a bidirectional Internet gateway, is provided. Embodiments of the present invention provide such functionality by virtue of a configurable architecture that enables a user to adapt the system for the user's specific needs. Embodiments of the present invention further provide such functionality by providing for installation of removable, modular communication adapters for communication with a variety of devices external to the security, monitoring and automation controller.
INCIDENT RESPONSE SYSTEM
Systems and methods for responding to incidents in a building are provided. One method includes performing operations including retrieving data relating to one or more on-premises building devices of the building, determining the incident relating to the one or more on-premises building devices, and determining a plurality of potential responses to the incident. The operations further include analyzing the plurality of potential responses and determining relative risks of the potential responses to the incident and transmitting, to a first on-premises building device of the on-premises building devices, data indicating the incident and at least one of the plurality of potential responses based on the relative risks of the potential responses.
Device lockdown
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a storage device, for securing device data in response to an event. A method includes receiving an instruction to initiate execution of a user device data protection protocol after a determination by a monitoring unit that an event has occurred at a property, determining whether the user device is located at the property, and in response to a determination that the user device is located at the first location, displaying a prompt that asks if the user device data protection protocol should be canceled. The method also include actions of determining whether user feedback responsive to the prompt has been received by the user device within a predetermined amount of time, and in response to a determination that the predetermined amount of has expired without receiving user feedback, performing one or more data protection operations to protect user device data.
Expandable security system
A computer-implemented method includes receiving, by a base station of a first security system, an identification of a portable security system. The method further includes adding, by the base station, the portable security system as a sensor to a plurality of sensors monitored by the first security system. The method further includes configuring, by the base station, the portable security system in protect-mode, wherein the portable security system sounds an alarm in response to a sensor from the second system indicating a security-breach. The method further includes in response to the alarm from the portable security system, generating, by the base station, an alarm event of the first security system.
Custom content for premises management
Methods and systems for managing a premises are described. A premises or devices at a premises may be associated with one or more premises zones. The one or more premises zones may be associated with corresponding content. If data is received from a device associated with a particular premises zone, then the content may be output. The content may be used to notify a user of an event, state change, or other indication associated with the particular premises zone.
