Refrigerator with thermoelectric device control process for an icemaker

A refrigerator that has a fresh food compartment, a freezer compartment, and a door that provides access to the fresh food compartment is disclosed. An icemaker is mounted remotely from the freezer compartment. The icemaker includes an ice mold with an icemaking cycle having a liquid to ice phase change. A thermoelectric device has a cold side and a warm side. A controller is in operable communication with an input to the thermoelectric device. A sensor is in operable communication with the input to the thermoelectric device and the controller. A feedback response from the input to the thermoelectric device monitors the liquid to ice phase change of the icemaking cycle.

Method and a device for detecting icing at an air inlet of a turboshaft engine

A method of detecting that an aircraft is flying in icing conditions. A processor unit determines a real power developed by the turboshaft engine and a theoretical power that the engine can develop in theory, the theoretical power being determined using a theoretical model supplying a power as a function at least of a speed of rotation of a gas generator of the engine. The processor unit determines a difference between the real power and the theoretical power. The processor unit generates a warning to indicate the presence of icing conditions when the power difference is greater than a predetermined power threshold for a length of time longer than a time threshold, and when a temperature outside the aircraft lies between a low temperature threshold and a high temperature threshold.

Method of regulating the speed at which a rotorcraft rotor is driven under icing conditions

A method of regulating the NR speed at which the rotor of a rotorcraft is driven in rotation. On detecting that the rotorcraft is flying under icing conditions in a previously identified critical temperature domain (Dct), the NR speed is either decreased in the situation where the ambient outside air temperature (OAT) lies in a low temperature icing range (Ptb) of the critical temperature domain (Dct), or else it is increased in the situation where the ambient outside air temperature (OAT) lies within a high temperature icing range (Pth) of the critical temperature domain (Dct).

System and method for determining volume of fluid in a tank
09557207 · 2017-01-31 · ·

Volume of a fluid in a tank is determined by measuring the pressure of fluid proximate to the bottom of the tank. The depth of the fluid is then determined from the pressure and density of the fluid. Fluid volume is then determined mathematically or from charts given the depth as well as the size and shape of a tank. Multiple pressure readings may be taken along the bottom of a tank, and an average pressure determined that may be used to calculate volume. Pressure readings may be taken at different heights to determine fluid density used to calculate volume. Pressure readings may be adjusted for atmospheric pressure. Volume increases or decreases exceeding a respective predetermined threshold may be flagged and alerts generated. Volume calculations may be recorded for comparing against a volume of fluid recorded as being purchased.
