PERSONAL SAFETY DEVICE, METHOD AND ARTICLE
An article of clothing includes user-protection circuitry, integrated into the article of clothing. The user-protection circuitry includes condition-detection circuitry, which, in operation, generates one or more indications related to an environment of the article of clothing. The user-protection circuitry also includes broadcast circuitry including at least one pulsing device, and control circuitry. The control circuitry, in operation, activates the broadcast circuitry based on the one or more indications related to the environment of the article of clothing generated by the condition-detection circuitry.
MEDICAL LABELING APPARATUS WITH DRUG INFORMATION
Provided is a labeling apparatus that generates a label for labeling a drug container at a healthcare facility. The labeling apparatus includes a code reader that reads a computer-readable code encoding a drug to be stored by the drug container and transmits a signal indicative of the identity of the drug in response to reading the computer-readable code. A non-transitory computer-readable memory stores a drug formulary comprising a plurality of drug entries. A processing component is configured to identify, from the formulary, the identity of the drug corresponding to the computer-readable code and receives a patient identity from a computer-accessible source. A printer is operable to print label content identifying the specific drug onto a label that is to be applied to the drug container. The label content includes the identity of the drug and the patient identity encoded by a label code that is computer-readable.

MONITORING DEVICE
A wireless monitoring device, comprising: a housing (10) in which is contained a wireless communication circuit for sending and receiving wireless signals; first and second flexible band portions (12, 14) connected at respective first ends to opposing edges of said housing; at least one antenna coupled to said wireless communication circuit; a connection device (16) for connecting second ends of said first and second band portions (12, 14) together to form a flexible band configured to attach the device to a user; at least one magnet (22) positioned in said first band portion (12); and a magnetic field sensor positioned in said second band portion, wherein said magnetic field sensor (20) is arranged to detect said at least one magnet (22) when said band portions (12, 14) are connected together.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING USE OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
A personal protective equipment (PPE) monitoring system is disclosed that includes a set of wireless transmitting devices and a mobile application executable on a mobile device. The mobile device receives a wireless signal from a transmitting device associated with a workstation and determines the type of workstation based on an identifier included in the wireless signal. The mobile device also receives wireless signals from transmitting devices attached to PPE items located in proximity to the mobile device and determines the types of PPE items based on respective identifiers included in the wireless signals. The mobile application determines PPE items required to operate equipment at the workstation and further determines whether the set of detected PPE items includes all of the required PPE items. The mobile application generates a user interface that indicates the presence or absence of each required PPE item and displays the UI on the mobile device.

Mobile Device Accessory
The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a mobile device accessory includes a housing defining an attachment surface that is configured to engage a mobile device, a wearable component configured to be worn by a user of the mobile device, a separation detector configured to detect separation of the wearable component relative to the housing, and provide a signal when the wearable component becomes separated from the housing, and an alarm device configured to activate in response to the signal. Alternatively, the mobile device accessory may be a standalone device not designed to be attached to a mobile device.
Universal personal emergency information notification and reporting system and method
An apparatus, system and method surrounding the sensing, recording and communicating information pertaining to users providing a portable identification and diagnostic reporting system configured with data storage, sensors, processing, and transmission means to notify intended recipients of identification, sensed, collected and prewritten user data. Communication of such data, stored on local devices and/or cloud based storage, and executed through means such as UHF, nearfield and other wireless communication protocols. The apparatus, system and method are intended for use in scenarios including but not limited to social, medical and emergency applications.
Work block encroachment warning system
The present disclosure generally relates to work block encroachment warning systems for providing protection for rail workers working in a mobile or fixed work block. For example, a vehicle (V)-aware unit installed on a moving rail vehicle and a work block limit encroachment unit mounted on a railroad may wirelessly communicate with each other to determine a distance between them. When a vehicle is moving toward an occupied work block, the distance may be used to identify potential hazards.
