SMART MICROPHONE-SPEAKER DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A microphone-speaker device includes a speaker, a microphone configured to capture sound and output an audio data signal and a housing configured to contain the microphone and the speaker. The device also includes an electronic circuit having audio electronics coupled to the speaker, an Ethernet interface configured to connect the electronic circuit for communication with a security system through an Ethernet connection, a power extractor for extracting power from the Ethernet connection for powering the electronic circuit and the microphone, and processing electronics configured to process the audio data signal from the microphone.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREDICTING AND PREVENTING COLLISIONS
A method for preventing a collision between a first object and a second object using a camera. The method includes capturing images of the first object and the second object using the camera, accessing a database of point clouds, and identify a first point cloud corresponding to the first object and a second point cloud corresponding to the second object within the database of point clouds, where the first point cloud corresponds to the first object being a person. The method further includes calculating a distance between the first object and the second object and comparing the distance to a threshold. The method further includes generating a notification when the distance is below the threshold.
Measurement apparatus for determining a bending moment
A measurement apparatus for determining a bending moment acting on a hollow cylindrical body in a current state as well as to a method of operating such a measurement apparatus. The measurement apparatus may include a sensor support structure, a sensor arrangement with sensors, and a processing system. The processing system may determine displacements of the inner surface of the hollow cylindrical body relative to the sensors based on the distances measured in the current state compared to the distances measured during an initial undeformed state, and determine the bending moment acting on the hollow cylindrical body based on the displacements.
DETECTION OF MISMATCHED SENSORS
In examples described herein, a patient monitoring device is configured to determine, based on signals received from signal acquisition devices, whether there is a mismatch among sensors connected to the signal acquisition devices. In some examples, each signal acquisition device is configured to communicate to the monitoring device what types of sensors are attached to the respective signal acquisition device. Additionally or alternatively, each signal acquisition device can determine whether there is a mismatch among the sensors connected to the signal acquisition device and send an indication of the match or mismatch to the monitoring device.

Fully-automated self-divesting screening system and method
Various embodiments of the present invention are directed toward systems and methods relating to security screening. For example, a screening system includes a chamber configured to accommodate a user to be screened, and a chamber scanner. The chamber scanner is configured to scan the user to identify whether the user is carrying an undivested item that needs to be divested. The chamber is configured to release the user to proceed from the chamber to a secure area, upon confirmation that no undivested items are to be divested.
Vehicle and trailer frame measuring system
A measurement system for frames of heavy duty trucks and trailers does not require a dimensional reference database. A plurality of electronic targets are attached to selected target points on the frame. A position of the laser scanner from the selected target points is determined. Measurement data for additional targets is determined. The frame dimensions are then analyzed for defects that are greater than a pre-set tolerance. Measurements outside of a tolerance range can be flagged with contrasting color. The results of the frame analysis are shown on the user's screen, on the electronic target, and can be printed out or emailed for future inspection. The frame can be repaired while the targets and laser scanner are still deployed so that the measurement system can continue to display the status of the measurement points in real time and the success of the repairs can be confirmed.

The system 100 comprises at least one camera 102 capable of gathering visual data 150 regarding detecting, localizing or both, pipes 106, roughnecks 116, elevators 118 and combinations thereof. The system 100 further comprises a processor 110 and a logging system 114 for recording the gathered visual data 150. The method 200 comprises acquiring visual data 150 using a camera 106, analyzing the acquired data 150, and recording the acquired data 150.

An electronic device comprises a sensor, a notifier and a controller. The sensor is urged to a test part side of an examinee and can detect pulsation at the test part. The notifier notifies information for a position of the sensor at the test part. The controller controls the notifier to notify information for a position of the sensor at the test part based on pulsation at the test part detected by the sensor.
