REMOTELY CONTROLLING ASPECTS OF POOLS AND SPAS
Systems and methods of (remotely) controlling aspects of pools and spas and of modifying water contained therein are detailed. Internet-enabled access to pool and spa controllers may happen without any need for users to create firewall ports or utilize static internet protocol addresses. Certain networking devices may be configured using a USB connection or SD card, avoiding any requirement for an Ethernet cable or supplying separate power to the devices during configuration. Time-varying data may be obtained in respect of one or more installations and analyzed for various information.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MULTI-CRITERIA ALARMING
Systems and methods for using multi-criteria state machines to manage alarming states and pre-alarming states of a hazard detection system are described herein. The multi-criteria state machines can include one or more sensor state machines that can control the alarming states and one or more system state machines that can control the pre-alarming states. Each state machine can transition among any one of its states based on sensor data values, hush events, and transition conditions. The transition conditions can define how a state machine transitions from one state to another. The hazard detection system can use a dual processor arrangement to execute the multi-criteria state machines according to various embodiments. The dual processor arrangement can enable the hazard detection system to manage the alarming and pre-alarming states in a manner that promotes minimal power usage while simultaneously promoting reliability in hazard detection and alarming functionality.
LIQUID OUT-OF-PRODUCT ALARM SYSTEM AND METHOD
An out-of-product alarm process includes initiating an out-of-product check by sending a signal to a controller from an optical sensor assembly connected to a fluid delivery medium for delivering a product to a fluid dispensing site, performing an out-of-product check, running an alarm cycle with the controller after receipt of an out-of-product signal, and executing a corrective action. Performing the out-of-product check includes directing light into the fluid delivery medium, generating a detector output based on detected light within the fluid delivery medium, determining an out-of-product state within the fluid delivery medium based on a comparison of the detector output to an out-of-product threshold, starting an out-of-product timer, when the out-of-product state is determined, and determining an out-of-product event when the out-of-product timer reaches a threshold out-of-product time period.
GAS SENSING FOR AN AEROSOL DELIVERY DEVICE
A control body is coupled or coupleable with a cartridge that is equipped with a heating element and contains an aerosol precursor composition, the control body and cartridge forming an aerosol delivery device. The control body includes a control component to control the heating element to activate and vaporize components of the aerosol precursor composition. The control body also includes a gas sensor configured to detect a presence of gas in an environment of the control body, and the gas sensor or control component are further configured to control operation of at least one functional element of the aerosol delivery device in response to the presence of gas so detected.
GAUGE DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION ENVIRONMENT THEREOF
A system and method include a gauge device and one or more of a communication device or a pulling assembly. The gauge device may be configured to send a message to display on one or more of the communication device or pulling assembly. Additionally or alternatively, the gauge device may be configured to send the message to be processed by pulling assembly to determine and perform a pull action. Additionally or alternatively, the gauge device may be configured to send the message to be executed by the pulling assembly to perform a pull action.
ALERTING ONE OR MORE SERVICE PROVIDERS BASED ON ANALYSIS OF SENSOR DATA
The present disclosure relates to system(s) and method(s) for alerting one or more service providers based on analysis of real-time sensor data. The system is configured to receive real-time sensor data and historical sensor data captured by one or more agent devices. Further, the system is configured to determine an anomaly corresponding to a target agent device from the one or more agent devices, based on comparison of the real-time sensor data and one or more predefined threshold parameters. The system is further configured to generate an alert corresponding to the anomaly and identify one or more service providers, affected by the anomaly, based on analysis of the historical sensor data and the anomaly. Further, the system is configured to transmit the alert to the one or more service providers, thereby alerting the one or more service providers.
Anti-theft pusher with incremental distance detection
A retail merchandise pusher is configured for sliding along a pusher assembly track. The pusher assembly is mountable to a retail merchandise shelf. The pusher includes a housing, a spring drum rotatably mounted within the housing, and a coil spring mounted to the spring drum. The coil spring is coilable and uncoilable upon rotation of the spring drum. A controller is coupled to a sensor arrangement within the housing. The sensor arrangement has a spring drum sensor for detecting rotation of the spring drum. A direction sensor detects a direction of rotation of the spring drum. An incremental distance sensor detects incremental movement of the pusher. The controller is configured to calculate, based on data from the sensor arrangement, a total distance and direction of travel by the pusher, and to generate an alarm when the pusher travels more than a threshold distance within a predetermined period of time.
SYSTEM FOR DETECTING WHEN A MAILBOX RECEIVES MAIL
A system for detecting mail intake is provided. The system includes a mailbox having a housing and an opening leading into the housing. A motion detector is operable to detect motion in an area around the opening. A wireless transmitter is operable to transmit a signal when the motion is detected. A remote device includes at least a wireless receiver and an indicator. The wireless receiver is operable to receive the signal and activate the indicator to produce an indication the motion is detected. Therefore, a user is notified when mail is delivered to their mailbox.
System and Method for Commercial and Residential Systems Monitoring and Notification
A monitoring system for apparatus and systems in commercial and residential properties is provided. The monitoring system consists of a head unit and a tail unit, each of which has one or more sensors that measure performance parameters that are important to understanding the performance of the apparatus and system being monitored. As an example, an HVAC system may be monitored to determine when an air filter needs to be changed, or to predict when failure of the HVAC system may be imminent. The sensor array in the head unit and tail unit measure performance and report alerts and historical system performance to users through a mobile app, social media accounts, or any other system for communicating over a wired or wireless network connection.
