The orientation data may indicate that the door is ajar and/or that a second magnetic field is present, suggesting tampering. A notice may be dispatched to a controller for the home security system, a client device, a remote system, etc.

An emergency service provision platform may be provided. The platform may be integrated into existing transportation service provision platforms. The platform may be configured to receive pick-up and destination location and track a passenger's route from the pick-up location to the destination. The platform may provide the passenger with an emergency notification button. Upon selection of the emergency notification button, the platform may communicate and alert comprising passenger and driver information to emergency contacts, infrastructure, and personnel. In some embodiments, the alert may be issued upon a detection of deviation from a route between the pick-up location and the destination. The emergency contacts, infrastructure, and personnel that receive the alert may be pre-set or determined dynamically based on the passenger's location at the time of the alert issuance. Furthermore, while the passenger is en route to the destination, the platform may provide the passenger with destination specific information.

The system further includes a processor coupled to the voltage sensor and the non-transitory memory and configured to determine the operating mode of the battery by comparing the present voltage across the terminals of the battery to the previously detected voltages of the battery and based on the previous operating mode of the battery.

Method and a device for signal transmission from wired security sensors and/or fire annunciators

The invention relates to alarm systems using wired and wireless transmission systems. A method for transmitting a signal from wired security sensors and/or fire annunciators is proposed, the method comprising wire-connecting the security sensor and/or fire annunciator to an input from a set of inputs of a signal transmission device, which comprises an analogue-to-digital converter that is coupled to a controller and a power supply unit. Each of the set of inputs of the signal transmission device is associated with an input zone from a set of the input zones. Information regarding the input zones and the inputs of the signal transmission device associated therewith is stored within a storage device that is coupled to the controller. The controller periodically receives wired connection resistance parameters for each input zone, and the received wired connection resistance parameters of the input zone are compared with predefined resistance parameters of this input zone, which are stored within said storage device. A status is assigned for each input zone depending on results of comparison of the received resistance parameters with the predefined resistance parameters, including an “alarm” status for the input zone that has the wired connection resistance parameters, which differ from the predefined resistance parameters. The controller forms a data packet comprising information regarding a status of each input zone, for which the wired connection of the security sensors and/or fire annunciators has been performed, as well as an information regarding an operation status of the signal transmission device. The formed data packet is sent via a radio module, which is coupled to the controller, to a central station that is configured at least to inform regarding a receipt of the “alarm” status. Also, a signal transmission device for implementation of the above-described method is proposed.

A first communications device issues a second signal upon receiving the first signal and a second communications device issues a notification signal upon receiving the second signal. The notification signal is issued to one or more entities and advises that an event has occurred. The first communications device has a shorter communications range than the second communications device. Also, the second communications device operating at a higher power level or a greater signal bandwidth than the first communications device.

In another aspect, the system may assist an individual in locating a medication. In a further aspect, the system may determine whether an individual is having an anaphylactic reaction. In some aspects, the system may detect a known allergen and alert the individual.

Systems and methods for adaptive monitoring of a shipping container for an environmental anomaly

An adaptive method and system for monitoring a shipping container for an environmental anomaly uses sensor-based ID nodes within the container and a command node. Sensors on each ID node generate sensor data about an environmental condition proximate the ID node as disposed within the container. Each ID node periodically broadcasts the sensor data. The command node monitors a first group of sensor data from the ID nodes over a first time period to detect an initial environmental threshold condition related to the container, then monitors a subsequent group of sensor data over a second time period under a modified monitoring parameter to detect a secondary environmental threshold condition related to the container as the anomaly. In response to detecting the secondary condition, the command node generates an alert notification and transmits the alert notification to an external transceiver to initiate a mediation response related to the anomaly.
