APPLYING MACHINE INTELLIGENCE FOR LOCATION-BASED SERVICES TO DISPATCH FIRST RESPONDERS
Techniques are described herein for applying a selective automated response to a distress call received at an emergency services system. The techniques include receiving a distress call from a user device in response to an emergency event. The distress call may be parsed to identify a location, an urgency index, and a nature of the emergency event. The distress call may be routed to an available dispatcher at a dispatcher terminal. Based at least on the location, the urgency index, and the nature of the emergency event, a response procedure to resolve the distress call may be identified. The dispatcher may communicate with a dispatched first responder at the location via a communication channel established between the dispatcher terminal and a mobile first responder terminal. The response procedure may be transmitted to the mobile first responder terminal.
System and method of preventing hijacking of security systems and components
A decentralized component is provided as an overly for a centralized system architecture as represented, for example, by a regional monitoring system. The decentralized component provides additional authentication of communications with a displaced monitoring service. Where agents of the decentralized component detect the presence of an unauthenticated monitoring service, messages can be generated or other actions can be taken to respond to that monitoring service.
Method, system and apparatus for automated reporting of account and sensor zone information to a central station
Systems and methods for reporting account and sensor configuration information to a central system are disclosed. A security, monitoring, and automation (SMA) system may operate one or more sensors according to sensor configuration information. The sensor configuration information may be used by a remote monitoring system to send notification messages based on sensor events from the SMA system. The sensor configuration information may be transmitted to the remote monitoring system via another remote computing system. The computing system may format the sensor configuration information to a format compatible with the remote monitoring system and transmit the formatted sensor configuration information to the remote monitoring system.
Method and a system for enabling user/s to trigger an alarm
A system and method for enabling a user to trigger an alarm. A method includes receiving a command from a user to trigger an alarm, the user provides the command through an interface of a user device and converting the command to an alarm signal. The method further includes determining a location of the user device and transmitting the location and the alarm signal to one or more devices, wherein the one or more devices transmit the location and the alarm signal to a control panel for notifying a facility regarding the alarm.
Home smart listening devices linking to multiple transport vehicles
Crowd-sourcing of vehicles and smart listening devices is used for neighborhood monitoring. A cluster server is configured within a public network to maintain a cluster directory identifying cluster members including a neighborhood of smart listening devices and user vehicles, wherein the neighborhood is associated with a cluster of dwellings. The surroundings of the smart listening devices and the user vehicles are monitored using sensors in the smart listening devices and the user vehicles. Upon detecting an alerting event with one of the sensors, a corresponding one of the smart listening devices and the user vehicles that detected the alerting event initiates a message to another cluster member based on the cluster directory. The cluster member receiving the message initiates its own responsive action to the alerting event.

Communication apparatus, control method, and storage medium
A communication apparatus receives a notification based on setting information from a first other communication apparatus, and performs control in such a manner that a second other communication apparatus can start a notification based on this setting information based on the fact that it is confirmed that the communication with the first other communication apparatus is not maintained in a case where the first other communication apparatus is replaced with the second other communication apparatus.
High sensitivity fiber optic based detection system
A system for locating a detection system within a predetermined area includes a fiber optic harness defining at least one node in communication with the predetermined area. Light is received at the at least one node. At least one emitter is arranged in communication with the at least one node. A control system is operably coupled to the at least one emitter and the at least one node to determine a physical location of the at least one node relative to the predetermined area.
INTEGRATING LOCATION INFORMATION IN A FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM
Integrating location information in a fire control system is described herein. One device includes a memory, and a processor configured to execute executable instructions stored in the memory to receive, from a database external to the fire control system, a graphical representation of a facility and location information associated with a number of components of the fire control system that indicates a location of each respective component in the facility, integrate the location information associated with each respective component of the fire control system in the graphical representation of the facility such that the graphical representation includes a representation of each respective component at a location in the graphical representation that corresponds to the location of that component in the facility, and display, in a user interface, the graphical representation of the facility with the location information associated with each respective component of the fire control system integrated therein.
GATEWAY INTEGRATED WITH PREMISES SECURITY SYSTEM
An integrated security system is described comprising a gateway located at a first location. The gateway includes a takeover component that establishes a coupling with a first controller of a security system installed at the first location. The security system includes security system components coupled to the first controller. The takeover component automatically extracts security data of the security system from the first controller. The gateway automatically transfers the security data extracted from the controller to a second controller. The second controller is coupled to the security system components and replaces the first controller.
