Capacitive switch detector addressing
An emergency alarm system peripheral, such as a hazard detector, intrusion detector, or a notification appliance, includes a base that is permanently installed on a wall or ceiling, and a head which mounts to the base. Various embodiments and methods are provided to easily and efficiently assign addresses to the peripherals in the system.
Smart door sign with integrated IOT devices and wireless signal repeaters
Old address signs are retrofitted, incorporated and integrated with new electronic devices for navigation aid, Internet and IOT (Internet Of Things) related applications. New smart address sign with Internet connections has the capabilities of remote sensing and detecting useful information for residential homes and business offices. Useful information is gathered, stored, processed and relayed for applications of improving home and office efficiency, security and safety related solutions. New hardware and software built into the smart address signs also serve as wireless signal repeating/relaying base stations.
Fire safety device address and location verification
A system includes a plurality of remote addressable devices, each remote addressable device of the plurality of remote addressable devices being individually programmed with configuration data of the respective addressable device. Each remote addressable device includes a radio frequency (RF) transceiver to transmit a RF signal encoded with an address and a physical location of the remote addressable device transmitting the RF signal. The system further includes a plurality of bases. Each base of the plurality of bases includes a RF sensor for receiving the RF signal from the RF transceiver of the corresponding remote addressable device subsequent to the remote addressable device being positioned in the base.
Fire Alarm Apparatus
A fire alarm apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a plurality of sensing modules and a repeater. When receiving the fire alarm signal from each of the plurality of sensing modules, the repeater transmits a signal to each of the plurality of sensing modules after a first time elapses, the signal comprises an acknowledgment response to the fire alarm signal and a control signal for controlling each of the plurality of sensing modules, and the acknowledgment response and the control signal are transmitted integrally.
Configuring devices in control systems
Aspects of the invention are directed towards method system and devices assisting the configuration, installation and maintenance of the devices in a system. The invention describes integrating a digitized map on a user terminal. The digitized map comprises positions for configuring one or more devices. The user terminal receives position co-ordinates and configuration information of each of the one or more devices. The user terminal requests configuration for one or more devices and receives the configuration based on the configuration information. The received configuration is transmitted to the one or more thereby configuring the one or more devices.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DEVICE ADDRESS ASSIGNMENT IN AN ALARM SYSTEM USING INTERACTIVE ADDRESS ASSIGNMENT FOR FASTER COMMISSIONING
The Commissioning phase is usually the most Time/Labor intensive phase in the Fire Safety System life cycle as the process involves referring to the Building floor plan document (as provided by the Installer) and creation of Areas/Zones and carefully assigning each fire device (viz. Smoke/Heat detectors, MCP etc.) to the corresponding zones in the Panel configuration software to configure the Fire Panel. The overall process easily spans for multiple days based on the Building network complexity. The present invention provides a system, apparatus and method for rapid commissioning by providing a graphical interface in which device addresses can be uniquely allocated using an interactive screen. This avoids double address faults which can be time consuming to identify and rectify. Geographic information of the devices can also be identified and incorporated using the interactive screen.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, VEHICLE, AND CONTROL METHOD
The wireless communication apparatus is a wireless communication apparatus mounted on a vehicle and supports a plurality of emergency report schemes. The wireless communication apparatus includes a wireless communicator configured to perform wireless communication, and a controller configured to perform an emergency report via the wireless communicator at a time of occurrence of a vehicle accident. The controller is configured to identify a region to which the wireless communication apparatus belongs at the time of occurrence of the vehicle accident. The controller is configured to select one emergency report scheme from the plurality of emergency report schemes based on the identified region. The controller is configured to perform the emergency report by using the one emergency report scheme selected.
Location-aware provisioning system for fire alarm system and method therefor
A fire alarm system design layout map is used in conjunction with a mobile computing device, an indoor tracking system and a connected services system to automate the process of determining the intended slave address for each slave device, assigning the slave address to the slave device, and verifying the assignment of the slave address to the slave device. The mobile computing device sends the location of a slave device to the connected services system, which maps the location to its corresponding position on the layout map and returns the intended slave address for that slave device. The slave address is assigned wirelessly to the slave device. The assignment of the slave address to the slave device is then verified by the connected services system.
Automation system user interface with three-dimensional display
Systems and methods comprising a device including a processor coupled to a plurality of premises devices located at a premises. The device is configured to generate layout data comprising a layout of the premises including representations of premises devices on a floor plan configured to represent the premises. The layout data includes configuration data for each of the premises devices. The premises devices include at least one of a security device and a network device. The system includes a sensor user interface (SUI) application coupled to the device. The SUI application is remote to the device and configured to use the layout data to generate display elements comprising a three-dimensional (3D) representation of the floor plan and the premises devices. The floor plan layout visually and separately indicates a location and a state of the premises devices. The state includes current state and historical state.
