6lowpan based multidisciplinary wireless sensor protocol for connected home security systems
A system is provided that includes a control panel having a wireless transceiver that operates under a 6LowPan/IPv6/IoT protocol, wherein the 6LowPan/IPv6/IoT protocol supports one or more of a 6LowPan protocol, an IEEE802.15.4 protocol, and IEEE802.11 coordination, a plurality of remotely located, wireless devices each having a wireless transceiver that exchanges messages with the control panel within a time division multiple access (TDMA) slot on a radio frequency (RF) channel, and a respective processor within the control panel and each of the plurality of wireless devices that controls transmission and reception of messages within TDMA slots of a repeating super frame, wherein at least some of the plurality of wireless devices select TDMA slots of the super frame under a carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA) algorithm/mechanism and some other of the plurality of wireless devices select TDMA slots of the super frame under a WiFi protocol.
CROSS-CLIENT SENSOR USER INTERFACE IN AN INTEGRATED SECURITY NETWORK
An integrated system includes a system user interface (SUI) that provides an iconic, at-a-glance representation of integrated security system status. The SUI is for use across all client devices including mobile or cellular telephones, a mobile portal, a web portal, and a touchscreen device. The SUI includes a number of display elements presented across all types of client devices for monitoring status of the integrated security system. The display elements of the SUI include an orb icon, text summary, security button, device warnings, system warnings, interesting sensors, and quiet sensors. The SUI thus provides system status summary information agnostically across all clients. Additionally, the SUI provides consistent iconography, terminology, and display rules across all clients as well as consistent sensor and system detail across clients.
Method, system and apparatus for automated reporting of account and sensor zone information to a central station
Systems and methods for reporting account and sensor configuration information to a central system are disclosed. A security, monitoring, and automation (SMA) system may operate one or more sensors according to sensor configuration information. The sensor configuration information may be used by a remote monitoring system to send notification messages based on sensor events from the SMA system. The sensor configuration information may be transmitted to the remote monitoring system via another remote computing system. The computing system may format the sensor configuration information to a format compatible with the remote monitoring system and transmit the formatted sensor configuration information to the remote monitoring system.
MANAGEMENT OF A SECURITY SYSTEM AT A PREMISES
A security system is described for managing a premises. The security system comprises security system components and a first controller. A takeover component receives security data of the security system from the first controller. The security data is used to configure a second controller to communicate with the security system. The second controller communicates with the security system components and replaces the first controller in management of the security system.
Method and a system for enabling user/s to trigger an alarm
A system and method for enabling a user to trigger an alarm. A method includes receiving a command from a user to trigger an alarm, the user provides the command through an interface of a user device and converting the command to an alarm signal. The method further includes determining a location of the user device and transmitting the location and the alarm signal to one or more devices, wherein the one or more devices transmit the location and the alarm signal to a control panel for notifying a facility regarding the alarm.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SOCIAL DISTANCE MONITORING, ALERTING AND REPORTING USING A COMBINATION OF ULTRASONIC TRANSPONDERS AND A WIRELESS RF DATA NETWORK
A method for monitoring and reporting personnel social distancing practices using a small personnel monitoring and alerting device incorporating ultrasonic sensors to monitor a complete 360-degree field of view around each wearer in the workplace. The monitoring and alerting devices monitor the distance between personnel wearing the device at preset time intervals using ultrasonic sensors and provides an individual alert (visual, buzzer, and/or vibration) to any wearers that are encroaching within a preset distance of another person wearing the device. Device reports via a RF network to a second device and/or centralized data center on each encroachment and unencroachment event.
INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP)-SPEAKER WITH IP-CAMERA
An internet protocol (IP)-based ceiling or wall-mounted speaker with optional IP-based camera and/or alarm indicator is provided. The IP-based speaker has a detachable add-on device for accommodating different types of interchangeable camera configurations and other components such as flush mount camera, camera providing angled view, night vision-type camera for different services and configurations. Multiple IP-based speakers are connected to an IP device to exchange audio data via an Ethernet connection for cost effective, flexible and convenient installations. The IP-based speaker has a speaker cone for talkback features, and relay for remote relay control of doors or gates for security applications as well as public address applications.
Associating Identification Information with Visually Captured Information
Systems, devices, and methods for associating vehicle identification information with other visually captured information are provided. In general, a system can include a processor configured to receive an image from a camera located at a fueling station. The processor can be configured to apply an algorithm to extract various features from the image, such as a vehicle that is present in the image, facial features of a driver and/or a passenger of the vehicle, or a license plate of the vehicle. The features can be used by the processor to determine information from the features, such as the identity of the driver, the make/model of the vehicle, or an owner of the vehicle. The processor can then, based on the determined information, be configured to take a variety of actions and thereby reduce the likelihood of possible future losses associated with the vehicles or individuals present in the image.
Alert system for internet of things (IOT) devices
A method and apparatus for monitoring operational parameters in an IoT device is provided. An exemplary method includes performing a statistical analysis of a system metric. A determination is made as to whether an alert limit has been breached. If so, a message is constructed and dispatched to a server.
Applying machine intelligence for location-based services to dispatch first responders
Techniques are described herein for applying a selective automated response to a distress call received at an emergency services system. The techniques include receiving a distress call from a user device in response to an emergency event. The distress call may be parsed to identify a location, an urgency index, and a nature of the emergency event. The distress call may be routed to an available dispatcher at a dispatcher terminal. Based at least on the location, the urgency index, and the nature of the emergency event, a response procedure to resolve the distress call may be identified. The dispatcher may communicate with a dispatched first responder at the location via a communication channel established between the dispatcher terminal and a mobile first responder terminal. The response procedure may be transmitted to the mobile first responder terminal.
