CONTROLLING CAMERA-BASED SUPERVISION OF A PHYSICAL SPACE
It is provided a method for controlling camera-based supervision of a physical space. The method is performed in a supervision controller and comprises the steps of: determining that a person enters the physical space; deactivating camera-based supervision of the physical space based on the person entering the physical space, by turning off a video feed of the camera-based supervision; determining that a person exits the physical space; and activating camera-based supervision of the physical space based on the person exiting the physical space.
Integrated security system with parallel processing architecture
Methods and systems for managing a premises are disclosed. The premises may comprise a premises management device. The premises management device may be in communication with a security system. The premises management device may manage consumption by maintaining or disabling components associated with the premise management device.
Alarm device distinguishing between lawful occupier and intruder
An opening detection device for an opening element such as a door or window including a module that is applied to an inner side of the opening element, wherein the module includes means for detecting movement of the opening element, first presence detection means forming a conical beam defining what is termed a trust perimeter encompassing an operating distance over which an operator operates the mechanism for opening the opening element on the first side of the opening element, second presence detection means for detecting a presence on what is termed a mistrust perimeter circumscribed around the opening element and means for processing data from the detection means, for memory storage and for computation that are connected to the detection means.
Smart home and security system
A security and smart home system, components thereof, and associated methods. The system can include a host-carried monitor configured to monitor data associated with the host, such as motion data, position data, temperature data, or humidity data. The system can include one or more security devices located at a premises to monitor security data at the premises, with the one or more security devices in communication with a remote server programmed to process security event signals from the one or more security devices and transmit action instructions to the one or more security devices. Security devices can include an electrical power switch, an electrical power plug, and a camera.
Emergency alert system
The present invention relates to an emergency alert system that triggers a distress event that is automatically managed by a community security system. The emergency alert system is activated through users' mobile devices and initiates communication with the community security system. Management by the community security system includes receiving the GPS location of the mobile device, recording a continuous stream of audio and video from the panic user's mobile application, notifying potential responders or groups of responders in the vicinity of the panic alert and, among other things, activating localized visual and audible deterrents present in surround private security systems, intelligently directing community CCTV cameras to record the distress event and issuing notifications to the closest community members for immediate responses, as well as other responder or group notification members.
Security installation and maintenance system
A system is provided that includes a computer implemented method for the automated purchasing of a security system having a plurality of security equipment components for use and installation on a unique geo-coordinate referenced location (i.e., a property). The system also includes a computer implemented method for installing the security equipment on the property that was purchased using the automated purchasing system.
MERCHANDISE DISPLAY SECURITY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Security systems and methods are provided. In one example, a security system includes at least one lock configured to protect one or more items from theft from the fixture, wherein the lock comprises a drive shaft configured to be moved between a latched position and an unlatched position, the fixture configured to be accessed in the unlatched position. The lock is configured to be moved between a locked state and an unlocked state for allowing the drive shaft to be moved between the latched position and the unlatched position when in the unlocked state, wherein the lock includes a cam sleeve having an internal cam surface configured to transition the lock between the locked state and the unlocked state in response to movement of the cam sleeve.
CONTROL SYSTEM USER INTERFACE
Embodiments include systems and methods comprising a gateway located at a premise forming at least one network on the premise that includes a plurality of premise devices. A sensor user interface (SUI) is coupled to the gateway and presented to a user via a remote device. The SUI includes at least one display element. The at least one display element includes a floor plan display that represents at least one floor of the premise. The floor plan display visually and separately indicates a location and a current state of each premise device of the plurality of premise devices.
System and method of locating installed devices
A graphically based tool and method for generating programming for a fire monitoring system. The locations of existing devices, such as detectors, in a building being monitored, can be visually presented in the context of the building. New devices can be installed, or the location of existing devices changed since all devices report their locations in the building to the tool. Device location information can be combined with building information to create a multi-dimensional representation of parts of the building being monitored.
Handling duress input
Techniques are described for handling duress input. For example, techniques are described for handling duress input provided to a mobile application that controls a monitoring system located at a fixed property.
