Personal safety device
A protective device and a method of transmitting an alert from the device, in which the protective device is handheld and includes a flexible sheath disposed between an upper member and a lower member. When the device is compressed, elongated defensive components protrude through openings in the upper member. In some cases, the upper member also includes protruding portions extending upward from the upper member and/or an arm portion extending outward to a side of the device. A signal alert may be automatically transmitted upon device compression.
Native-feature silent coercion alarm
Apparatus and methods for providing protection from economic exploitation. The apparatus and methods may include a platform for tagging a social security number and/or other suitable identification number. The system may allow a person associated with a social security number to automatically flag and deny any product or service request associated with the social security number. The alarms are “silent,” because the alarm may initiate an institution internal process in which the customer interaction with the institution follows a normal diligence process until an intervention can be effectively executed on behalf of the customer. This reduces the likelihood of a reaction from the customer's associate prior to completing the diligence process. A system may provide the customer with an opportunity to electronically activate an alarm by typing keystrokes on a card reader keypad or interacting with a physical sensor on the reader, on the card, or the like.
Management system for managing a set of electrical devices
A system is disclosed for managing a set of electrical/electronic devices for driving fans of a heat exchanger of a refrigeration plant, having a basic control unit adapted to act as interface between a remote control unit/Master unit and a plurality of electrical/electronic devices to be controlled. The basic control unit has a data input to receive inputs from the remote control unit/Master unit and a plurality of data outputs connectable with respective electrical/electronic devices of the electrical/electronic devices. The basic control unit is configured to address the electrical/electronic devices using management signals to program the operating parameters of the electrical/electronic devices, and to directly manage the operation. The management signals include addressing, programming and management commands previously programmed in the memory unit based on specific applications and communication protocols. The basic control unit manages the data outputs independently from the other data outputs, to manage the electrical/electronic devices independently.
Emergency Communication System
An emergency communication system, while accurately and reliably detecting a location of an object person, receives contact from the object person and grasps a state of the object person when a matter of emergency has occurred. An object person terminal transmits identification information via short-range wireless communication, acquires location information by a GPS function, and transmits the identification information and the location information to a server. A detection terminal transmits the identification information transmitted from the object person terminal. The server specifies the location of the object person terminal on the basis of the information transmitted from the detection terminal or the identification information and the location information transmitted from the object person terminal. The object person terminal, when the occurrence of a matter of emergency is sensed, records ambient sounds as object person sound information, and transmits the recorded object person sound information to the server.
System for Roof Monitoring
The present invention is a system for roof top monitoring that includes a main body housing primary components that are operatively associated with a computer and communications system configured for each of monitoring the primary components and broadcasting an alert based on actuation of any of the primary components.
Methods and systems to determine multi-parameter managed alarm hierarchy during patient monitoring
The present specification discloses systems and methods of patient monitoring in which multiple sensors are used to detect physiological parameters and the data from those sensors are correlated to determine if an alarm should, or should not, be issued, thereby resulting in more precise alarms and fewer false alarms. Electrocardiogram readings can be combined with invasive blood pressure, non-invasive blood pressure, and/or pulse oximetry measurements to provide a more accurate picture of pulse activity and patient respiration. In addition, the monitoring system can also use an accelerometer or heart valve auscultation to further improve accuracy.
Methods and systems for operating a moving platform to determine data associated with a target person or object
Methods and systems for operating a moving platform to locate a known target at an area associated with the target are disclosed. In an example method to locate the target at the area, a first moving platform, configured with a first type of sensor, is caused to move to the area. An attempt is made to locate, via the first moving platform and the first type of sensor, the target at the area. Based on the attempt, a second moving platform, configured with a second type of sensor, is caused to move to the area. The target is located via the second moving platform and the second type of sensor.
Group leader selection method, and user safety monitoring system and method
The present invention relates to a system and method for monitoring the safety of users in a shaded area, wherein location information about an RFID post installed in a shaded area is identified by means of an RFID tag, so that the location of a work group working in the shaded area can be transmitted to a control server in real time, and the control server compares the location of the work group with operation information about trains, thereby determining whether the work group is in danger or not, makes notification the same, so that the safety of the work group can be secured.
Systems and methods for emergency event capture
An emergency event system may allow for the capture of emergency event data in real time. Users may be able to initiate capture when they believe they are in an emergency event, such as an assault, a robbery, a shooting, an automobile accident, or other threatening situation. In some aspects, when an emergency event is initiated, notifications may be sent out to third parties, such as emergency contact list or emergency response teams. Captured emergency event data may be transmitted and stored in an emergency event database, which may be accessible to third parties and third-party systems, such as for law enforcement. An emergency event capture device may comprise multiple cameras that may concurrently capture media.
Adjunct device and methods for use therewith
A wireless device includes a user interface that generates a pairing signal in response to an indication from a user to pair the wireless device to at least one remote device and generates a first location request signal in response to a second indication from a user to locate the at least one remote device. A short-range wireless transceiver communicates RF signals to pair the wireless device to the at least one remote device and that transmits a first RF paging signal to the at least one remote device in response to the location request signal.
