SELF-DEFENSE AND ALERT SYSTEM
Self-defense devices, methods, and computer program products such as a pepper spray may take one or more photographs of the assailant and send the photos and/or other data (e.g., time, location) to an emergency responder with the location. The self-defense device may also send a message to the user's emergency contacts alerting the contacts that their contact has used the self-defense device and may include the location of where the self-defense device was activated and other information about the situation and/or user.

POWER OUTLET CAMERAS
A security system can can be configured to mount to a power outlet. The security system can include a detection system comprising a camera, motion detector, speaker, microphone, and a pair of electrical prongs arranged and configured to protrude into the power outlet to receive power for the detection system. The security system can also include a remote computing device communicatively coupled to the detection system.
Audio amplifier activation device, audio amplifier, and remote broadcast system
Provided is a remote broadcast system including an audio amplifier activation device configured to turn on when a level of input sound via a smartphone mobile unit exceeds a threshold, a power source for an audio amplifier configured to amplify a signal of the input sound into a broadcast audio signal, and output the broadcast audio signal to a broadcast loudspeaker, the audio amplifier activation device being configured also to turn off the power source for the audio amplifier when the level of the input sound remains lower than the threshold for a predetermined time period. A broadcaster carrying a smartphone base unit can select a smartphone mobile station via the smartphone base unit, and establish a communication link between the smartphone base unit and the smartphone mobile station. With this, the broadcaster is allowed to broadcast evacuation guidance information even while evacuating.

Water activated GPS-based beacon
The water activated GPS-based beacon is a radio based transmitter that is configured for outdoor activities. The water activated GPS-based beacon is a safety device that is worn during outdoor activities. The water activated GPS-based beacon is housed in a jewelry item that is worn during the outdoor activity. The water activated GPS-based beacon remains dormant until: 1) the water activated GPS-based beacon is immersed in water; or 2) a switch located on the jewelry item is activated. If either of these conditions occur, the water activated GPS-based beacon determines the GPS coordinates of the water activated GPS-based beacon and transmits the GPS coordinates to a previously determined appropriate authority. The water activated GPS-based beacon comprises the jewelry item and a beacon.

Community safety, security, health communication and emergency notification system providing emergency source tracking
A community safety system (CSS) including a notification management entity (NME) comprising servers, the NME communicatively coupled to multiple user devices and one or more administrator devices (collectively, registered user devices). The CSS includes a plurality of registered users, wherein registered users may share their own location, as well as sighting information about the location of a source of an emergency (e.g. a perpetrator) with the NME of the CSS. The NME may generate and provide display objects on a visualization interface of one or more users mobile devices displaying a map, the display objects indicative of user locations and/or emergency source location in the map displayed (e.g., in accordance with the map coordinate system).
