PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUSES WITH NURSE CALL CONNECTION DETECTION
A patient support apparatus includes a frame, a patient support surface, and a nurse call cable interface adapted to communicatively couple to a wall-mounted nurse call outlet having a plurality of pins to thereby allow the patient to communicate with a remotely positioned nurse. One or more sensors are included that detect when the cable is plugged into the nurse call outlet and/or when the bed is communicatively coupled to the nurse call system. The controller may activate an indicator when the sensor detects that the bed is not coupled to the nurse call system outlet, automatically select whether to communicate with the nurse call system via a wireless transceiver or via the nurse call cable interface based on the sensor output, and/or inform the caregiver when a headwall module spaced from the bed is not communicatively coupled to the nurse call system outlet.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MONITORING ALARMS FROM THIRD PARTY DEVICES
A server acts as an event analyzer for a home security or monitoring system. The server receives a signal from a remote third-party server, the signal including data relating to a condition detected by a device at a premises. The server determines whether the remote third-party server corresponds to a preexisting third-party server registration. The server determines whether the device corresponds to a preexisting device registration. When the remote third-party server is determined to correspond to the preexisting third-party server registration and the device is determined to correspond to the preexisting device registration, the server determines whether the condition detected by the device at the premises is an alarm condition. When the condition detected by the device at the premises is determined to be the alarm condition, the server transmits an alarm signal to a central monitoring station.
WIRELESS MOBILE DEVICE ACCESS TO NURSE CALL SYSTEM ALERTS AND DATA
A system, method, and tangible computer-readable storage media to link a nurse call system of a healthcare facility with a mobile phone, are provided. A nurse call server receives nurse calls, alerts, and device status data. A connected services architecture (CSA) is located at an entity geographically remote from the healthcare facility. The CSA has a proxy server to replicate the nurse calls, alerts, and device status data communicated to the proxy server from the nurse call server. A mobile application gateway is coupled to the nurse call server via a first path that excludes the proxy server and via a second path that includes the proxy server of the CSA. Wireless mobile devices of caregivers receive the nurse calls, alerts, and device status data from the mobile application gateway.
VOICE COMMUNICATION DEVICE HAVING LOCATING AND PAIRING AND OTHER IMPROVED BADGE FUNCTIONALITY
A healthcare communication system includes a voice communication badge to be worn or otherwise transported by a caregiver. The voice communication badge has a display, a microphone, buttons that are used to select or alter first information appearing on the display, and circuitry including a wireless fidelity (WiFi) module configured to (i) send and receive long range wireless signals to and from one or more of the wireless access points, and (ii) send and receive short range wireless signals. The circuitry also includes a location module to emit beacon signals that are received by at least one receiver of a real-time locating system which includes a locating computer that determines a location of the voice communication badge based on the beacon signals.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING A DWELLING
Provided herein is a system for monitoring dwellings. The system includes a server; a plurality of sensors located at one or more dwellings, the plurality of sensors configured to generate sensor data and communicate the sensor data to the server; and monitoring software configured to run on the server. The monitoring software is configured to process the sensor data and generate at least one user interface. Additionally, the at least one user interface is accessible through a remote compute device and is configured to display at least one of the sensor data and one or more alerts. Also provided are a method of monitoring a multi-unit dwelling using the system and a non-transitory, processor-readable medium storing instructions for executing the method.
Security system including automation notification and surveillance integration
A security system including automated notification and surveillance integration is provided. In the security system of the present disclosure, when any of the devices are locked, unlocked, interacted with, alarmed or triggered, a notification or communication signal is sent to at least one other device. The at least one other device may be a receiver, camera, smart phone, smart watch, laptop, desktop, and/or an Internet connected or Internet of Things (IoT) device. Additionally, a system is provided including at least one alarm module that generates an audible sound when an alarm condition is detected; at least one sensor that detects the audible sound and determines if the audible sound is within a predetermined frequency range and an interface that receives at least one first communication signal from the at least one sensor upon detecting an alarm and transmits at least one second communication signal to at least one device.
Systems and methods for providing security system information using augmented reality effects
Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium for providing security system information using an augmented reality (AR) effect, comprising receiving security system information from at least one security device in an environment, wherein the security system information is of a first type of security event. The implementations further include selecting, from a plurality of AR effects, a first AR effect that is configured to output information of the first type. Additionally, the implementations further include determining a three-dimensional location in the environment that is associated with the security system information. Additionally, the implementations further include generating, for display on a user interface, an AR object of the first AR effect at the three-dimensional location.
PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A patient support apparatus may include a support surface, a nurse call interface, a nurse call control, a second control, and a controller. The nurse call interface communicatively couples to a multi-pin nurse call cable. The nurse call control calls a remote caregiver. The second control is adapted to be activated by a patient or locally-positioned caregiver. The controller changes an electrical state of a first pin of the cable in response to activation of the nurse call control and changes an electrical state of a second pin in response to activation of the second control. Alternatively, or additionally, the controller may change a dynamic label for the second control in response to a triggering condition, and/or communicate data with the nurse call system that defines whether activation of a particular control of the patient support apparatus will carry out a first or second function.
