Emergency location identification using wireless devices

Embodiments of the present disclosure include an efficient and accurate method for presenting victim locations to emergency responders. The method disclosed can be used to track individuals still remaining in a building in case of an emergency. The method comprises determining a location for an individual by receiving a device identifier (e.g., combination of numbers and/or characters uniquely identifying a receiving device associated with the individual) and location information, received from one or more beacons, from the receiving device. The method comprises determining a first location associated with the receiving device based on the location information and/or the device identifier. The method comprises determining different locations associated with the individual as the individual moves and determining whether the individual is still within the building. The method comprises, displaying location information and instructions to reach the individual in case of an emergency.

APPLYING MACHINE INTELLIGENCE FOR LOCATION-BASED SERVICES TO DISPATCH FIRST RESPONDERS

Techniques are described herein for applying a selective automated response to a distress call received at an emergency services system. The techniques include receiving a distress call from a user device in response to an emergency event. The distress call may be parsed to identify a location, an urgency index, and a nature of the emergency event. The distress call may be routed to an available dispatcher at a dispatcher terminal. Based at least on the location, the urgency index, and the nature of the emergency event, a response procedure to resolve the distress call may be identified. The dispatcher may communicate with a dispatched first responder at the location via a communication channel established between the dispatcher terminal and a mobile first responder terminal. The response procedure may be transmitted to the mobile first responder terminal.

EMERGENCY REMOTE DATA ACCESS BASED ON AN EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION LINK AND SENSOR DATA

A method and system for improving the safety of the environment for an occupant of a dwelling which includes providing the dwelling with monitors and sensors to detect emergencies and a communication system that permits hands-free communication with responding parties and historic and/or real-time imaging feed of the inside of the dwelling to the responding parties.

Sharing video footage from audio/video recording and communication devices

Sharing video footage recorded by audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices, such as video doorbells and security cameras. When an A/V recording and communication device records video footage of suspicious activity, or even criminal activity, a user viewing the footage may alert his or her neighbors by sharing the video. In various embodiments, the user may share the video with anyone of the user's choosing, including neighbors, friends, and family.

Portable personal monitor device and associated methods

The technology relates to portable personal monitor device and associated methods. In particular, the technology provides for improving the capability of personal monitor device systems by enabling functions such as two-way communications from the personal monitor; associating possible threats with one or more locations; and dynamically determining safe locations and potential evacuation routes. Also described herein are monitors which improve the detection of possible threats or risks by allowing a base unit to be used with various replacement sensor modules.

Evacuation system

A method for monitoring devices based at least in part on detected conditions includes accumulating, by one or more sensory nodes, sensed information in an area that includes a controllable device. The method also includes analyzing the sensed information to identify historical information regarding the area that includes the controllable device. The method also includes sensing a condition within the area by the one or more sensory nodes. The method also includes determining, based at least in part on the sensed condition and at least in part on the historical information, that the sensed condition relates to the controllable device. The method further includes generating, responsive to said determining, an alert regarding the controllable device.

SELF-DEFENSE AND ALERT SYSTEM

Self-defense devices, methods, and computer program products such as a pepper spray may take one or more photographs of the assailant and send the photos and/or other data (e.g., time, location) to an emergency responder with the location. The self-defense device may also send a message to the user's emergency contacts alerting the contacts that their contact has used the self-defense device and may include the location of where the self-defense device was activated and other information about the situation and/or user.

Apparatus, Systems and Methods For Providing Alarm and Sensor Data To Emergency Networks

A disclosed method includes: receiving an alarm notification; determining that there is a verification for the alarm notification such that the alarm notification is not a false alarm; and pushing the alarm notification to an emergency network entity along with an indication that the alarm has been verified in response to determining that there is a verification. Another disclosed method includes monitoring an emergency queue at an emergency network entity for incoming queue entries from an emergency data manager; determining correlations for the incoming queue entries based on data associated with each incoming queue entry; and generating a link for each correlated queue entry linking each correlated queue entry to a primary queue entry in response to determining correlations.

Real-time deployment of incident response roadmap

In various representative aspects, a method and a system that guide an incident response team to efficiently respond to an information security incident based on a roadmap are disclosed herein. A delegated incident response lead may oversee the whole process, including the creation of the roadmap, the performance of the team members, and the statuses of all tasks. When an incident occurs, incident response team members are notified, and delegated tasks in the roadmap are laid out. With a secure collaboration platform, the incident response team may work together in a secure, uncompromised environment.

Composable situational awareness visualization system

A system and methods for maintaining situation awareness about an event are disclosed. The methods includes displaying said the location of the event on a digital reference map that is representative of a geographic area. As amplifying information pertaining to the event is received, the information is displayed at the same pixel location of the digital reference map as the event location to fuse geo-visualization and situation awareness of an event at the same display. Amplifying information can include remote updates from emergency personnel responding to said. A plurality of digital reference maps, corresponding to geographic areas for respective users, can be networked. The result is a network wherein a plurality of corresponding user have real-time situational awareness of critical events within the aggregate geographical area represented by the digital reference maps.
