DOORBELL COMMUNITIES
Doorbells can send data to each other to enable a first doorbell user to warn a second doorbell user regarding a suspicious visitor. A first user can indicate a first trait of a visitor via a first remote computing device. The first user can create a user group to enable the members of the user group to use their doorbells to take pictures of suspicious visitors and to send the pictures of the suspicious visitors to other members of the user group.
AUDIO/VIDEO DEVICE WITH VIEWER
An audio/video (A/V) device may include or accommodate a viewer through a barrier. For example, an A/V device may include a first component for installation on an exterior surface of a door, a second component for installation on an interior surface of the door, a viewer that extends through an opening in the door, and a flexible connector that electrically couples the first component and the second component. The A/V device may enable use of an existing hole in the door as part of a door viewer, while also providing the functionality of an A/V device. For example, the A/V device may be configured to receive an input using a button on the first component, generate image data using a camera on the first component, and send the image data to a network device.
Systems and methods of security system access and sharing temporal event-based notifications and access to devices of designated persons
Implementations of the disclosed subject matter provide systems and methods of granting temporary control access of a home security system of a first user to a second user, where the temporary control access is for at least a portion of a home security system for a predetermined period of time. One or more tasks to be completed for the first user may be completed by the second user while having temporary control access to the home security system. The temporary control access of the second user to the at least a portion of the home security system of the first user may be revoked when the predetermined period of time has elapsed. The second user may receive a notification may be received for a security event, a safety event, a home event, and a package delivery event after the predetermined period of time has lapsed.
Security sharing systems and methods
A method may include receiving an alert and a recorded data set from a first monitoring system and receiving a first set of permissions from the first monitoring system. The method may also include determining a permission associated with sharing of the recorded data set based at least in part on the first set of permissions. The method may also include determining that sharing of at least a portion of the recorded data from the first monitoring system is permitted based at least in part on the permission and sharing the at least a portion of the recorded data set.
Sharing video footage from audio/video recording and communication devices for parcel theft deterrence
Systems and methods for communicating in a network using parcel theft share signals in accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure are provided. In one embodiment, an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device comprises: a camera configured to capture first image data of a drop-off zone; a communication module; and a processing module comprising: a processor; and a parcel theft deterrence application that configures the processor to: monitor a parcel in the drop-off zone, wherein the parcel is associated with parcel tracking data; determine that the parcel has been removed from the drop-off zone; generate a parcel theft share signal using the first image data and the parcel tracking data, wherein the parcel theft share signal includes a command to share the first image data with a network of users; and transmit the parcel theft share signal to the backend server using the communication module.
COOPERATIVE MONITORING NETWORKS
An electronic monitoring system is described that receives data from a particular monitoring system, receives data from multiple other monitoring systems, analyzes data received from the particular monitoring system irrespective of data received from the multiple other monitoring systems, based on the analysis, determines whether one or more events occur at the particular environment, and in response to determining that a particular event occurs at the particular environment, evaluates the particular event against a set of rules, selects, based on the evaluation results, a particular subset of the multiple other monitoring systems to serve as a cooperative monitoring network, assesses data received from the particular subset of the multiple other monitoring systems, based on the assessment, tracks, in connection with the particular event, events detected by the particular subset of the multiple other monitoring systems, and handles the particular event based on the tracked events.
Community-based security system
A server accesses a security system profile of a first security system. The security system profile identifies a plurality of sensors connected to the first security system. The server identifies a second security system based on at least a first sensor of the plurality of sensors coupled to the first security system. The server then generates a notification sharing profile for the first security system based on the security system profile. The notification sharing profile indicates that the second security system corresponds to the first sensor. A first event triggered by the first sensor causes a first notification to the second security system.
Street watch
Apparatuses, techniques, and methods for a security and/or automation system are described. In some cases, methods may include receiving, from a first device at a first location, a request to access data associated with a time period from a second device at a second location, the data comprising at least one of audio data, visual data, or a combination thereof, receiving, from the first device, a category associated with the request, identifying a first set of data associated with the time period, the identified first set of data based at least in part on the request and the category, and automatically transmitting the first set of data to the first device based at least in part on the category.
