Community-based security system

A server accesses a security system profile of a first security system. The security system profile identifies a plurality of sensors connected to the first security system. The server identifies a second security system based on at least a first sensor of the plurality of sensors coupled to the first security system. The server then generates a notification sharing profile for the first security system based on the security system profile. The notification sharing profile indicates that the second security system corresponds to the first sensor. A first event triggered by the first sensor causes a first notification to the second security system.

Community-based response system

An example of a medical equipment management system includes a notification system, separate from a dispatch center, that is configured to post a Internet accessible application, receive responder enrollment information prior to an emergency event from a user interface of the application, associate the responder with an account for sending information to a mobile device, receive, from the dispatch center, an emergency location, receive, a current location from the mobile device, receive equipment locations for registered medical equipment, and based on the emergency location, the equipment locations, and the current mobile device location, provide to the mobile computing device, an automatic notification that includes the emergency event information and mapping information that indicates a location of registered medical equipment that is located near the current mobile device location, and the current mobile device location relative to the emergency location and relative to the registered medical equipment location.

Locating a person of interest using shared video footage from audio/video recording and communication devices

Systems and methods for communicating in a network using share signals in accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure are provided. In one embodiment, a method for sharing video footage captured by audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices is provided, the method comprising: receiving from a first client device a share signal including first image data including a person of interest; receiving from a second A/V recording and communication device second image data; transmitting to a second client device, the first image data and a request to check the second image data; receiving from the second client device a locate person command signal; searching the second image data for a match of the person of interest; and when a match of the person of interest is found, generating and transmitting an alert signal that includes a notification that the person of interest was matched in the second image data.

PORTABLE ALARM SYSTEM

A portable alarm system has a base unit including a processor electrically connected to a wireless transceiver configured to communicate wireless signals to an external location. The base unit is further configured to receive wireless alarm signals from at least a first sensor and a second sensor, both of the first and second sensors being physically separated from the base unit. The processor is configured to be selectively programmed by a user to cause the base unit to communicate with a remote monitoring station in response to receiving an alarm signal from the first sensor, but not in response to receiving an alarm signal from the second sensor. Instead, when an alarm signal is received from the second sensor, the processor causes a different action, other than communicating with the monitoring station, to occur. Such action can include, for example, sending a wireless communication to a mobile electronic device.

DOORBELL COMMUNITIES

Doorbells can send data to each other to enable a first doorbell user to warn a second doorbell user regarding a suspicious visitor. A first user can indicate a first trait of a visitor via a first remote computing device. The first user can create a user group to enable the members of the user group to use their doorbells to take pictures of suspicious visitors and to send the pictures of the suspicious visitors to other members of the user group.

Sharing video footage from audio/video recording and communication devices

Sharing video footage recorded by audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices, such as video doorbells and security cameras. When an A/V recording and communication device records video footage of suspicious activity, or even criminal activity, a user viewing the footage may alert his or her neighbors by sharing the video. In various embodiments, the user may share the video with anyone of the user's choosing, including neighbors, friends, and family.

AUDIO/VIDEO DEVICE WITH VIEWER

An audio/video (A/V) device may include or accommodate a viewer through a barrier. For example, an A/V device may include a first component for installation on an exterior surface of a door, a second component for installation on an interior surface of the door, a viewer that extends through an opening in the door, and a flexible connector that electrically couples the first component and the second component. The A/V device may enable use of an existing hole in the door as part of a door viewer, while also providing the functionality of an A/V device. For example, the A/V device may be configured to receive an input using a button on the first component, generate image data using a camera on the first component, and send the image data to a network device.

SECURITY SYSTEM WITH COOPERATIVE BEHAVIOR

Security system devices are configured to retrieve historic first sensor data acquired from a protected area in response to receiving a threat alarm notification from a peer security system that is related to an area monitored by the peer security system, wherein the protected area is different from and geographically separate from the area monitored by the peer security system. The system devise determines that a security threat is indicated for the protected area by assessing the retrieved selection of historic first sensor data as a function of a relation of the threat alarm notification from the peer security system to the protected area, wherein assessing the historic first sensor data without the function of the relation of the threat alarm notification from the peer security system to the protected area results in determining that the security threat is not indicated for the protected area.

Neighborhood alert mode for triggering multi-device recording, multi-camera locating, and multi-camera event stitching for audio/video recording and communication devices

The present embodiments relate to improvements to audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices, including improved approaches to using a neighborhood alert mode for triggering multi-device recording, to a multi-camera motion tracking process, and to a multi-camera event stitching process to create a series of storyboard images for activity taking place across the fields of view of multiple cameras, within a predetermined time period, for the A/V recording and communication devices.
