Interactive information and identification systems and authentication methods
A computer-implemented method for interactive information and identification is disclosed, which can be for emergency or non-emergency information. The method includes receiving, by a processor, a notification concerning an emergency (or non-emergency) situation, wherein the notification includes a location of the situation, and defining, by the processor, a geo-fence representing a first physical area surrounding the location of the situation. The method further includes receiving, by the processor, location information representing locations of a plurality of user devices, each user device being associated with an individual, and determining, by the processor, which of the user devices are located within the geo-fence based on the location information. Additionally, the method includes transmitting, by the processor, information about the situation to the user devices located within the geo-fence.
System, method, and apparatus for synchronizing local flashing in a marker system
A method of synchronizing flashing between a plurality of marker system components mounted on a helmet includes receiving a signal from at least one global positioning satellite receiver, the signal comprising a time value. When the time value indicates illumination is needed, initiating illumination of at least one light emitting device of each the marker system components, thereby, synchronizing of the initiating of illumination to the time value for all marker system components.
Collaborative control of evacuation of a venue
In an approach to invention purpose, for controlling evacuation of a plurality of individuals carrying corresponding portable computing devices from a venue having a plurality of exits associated with corresponding exit computing devices, wherein the method comprises, under the control of the portable computing device of each of the individuals. One or more computer processors receive one or more of evacuation messages of wireless type each being transmitted by a source entity. The one or more computer processors select a selected evacuation message of the received evacuation messages according to the hop number of the received evacuation messages. The one or more computer processors subscribe to a directed exit being set to the origin exit of the selected evacuation message.
Text message analysis and notification device
A vehicle may include a notification type determination device configured to identify a type of a text message received through a communication terminal and determining a notification type of the text message when the type of the text message is a public warning text, a notification content determination device configured to analyze a text string of the text message and determine notification content associated with the text message when the type of the text message is the public warning text, and an output device configured to output a notification to a passenger depending on the notification type and the notification content.

A distress signal may be transmitted by a mobile device in response to the beacon signal to the base station, wherein the distress signal carries information at least comprising user identity associated with the mobile device, geolocation of the mobile device, or biometrics of a user of the mobile device.

A system to convey user alert messages is disclosed. The system may have a alert service coupled between alert providers and a number of households, After receiving in the alert service an alert message from an alert provider, the alert service may alter the alert message to identify the household designated to receive the alert message. The alert service sends a notification to a home media system within the household designated to receive the alert message.
Segmentation of PWS-message and associated area-information
A network node obtains a message to be transmitted as a public warning system notification to multiple UEs, via one or more SIBs, and obtains area information corresponding to the message. The area information indicates an area for which the message is relevant. The network node determines how many SIBs are needed for transmitting the area information and segments the message into a plurality of segments, based on how many SIBs are needed for transmitting the area information. The network node transmits the message and the area information via SIBs, such that a segment of the message is included in each SIB and such that each portion of the area information included in a SIB is accompanied by a segment of the message. A UE receives the SIBs and assembles the message and area information, displaying the message if it is relevant.
Vehicle control for user safety and experience
A system and method of vehicle control for user safety and experience is provided. The system receives sensed information associated with a first vehicle, detects a state of the first vehicle, and determines activities of a person or a second vehicle in proximity of the first vehicle. Such activities are determined based on the sensed information. The system triggers actions based on whether or not the determined activities are unsafe for the first vehicle or for users of the first vehicle in the detected state. The system controls devices associated with the first vehicle based on the triggered actions. The devices include a light-based projector device that is controlled to project a visual alert, included in the triggered actions, directly onto a physical surface. The physical surface is a window portion of the first vehicle or a physical structure which is external to and separate from the first vehicle.
Earthquake damage warning system
A system and method for providing earthquake damage and collapse warning by a warning device is disclosed. The warning device is communicatively connected to a one or more client devices using a communications network. The warning device includes an input sensor for generating signals of crack formation within a structure, a message generator and transmitter for sending an warning message, a memory having instructions stored thereon; and a processor configured to execute the instructions on the memory to cause the waring device to receive an input signal from the input sensor, characterize the input signal using its amplitude, duration, location and direction, and frequency, identify the input signal as being a result of an earthquake, generate a warning message identifying detection of an event, and transmit the warning message to the one or more client devices over the communications network.
