EVENT DEVICE OPERATION
Devices, systems, and methods for event device operation are described herein. In some examples, one or more embodiments include a mobile device comprising a user interface, a memory, and a processor to execute instructions stored in the memory to receive a signal from a control panel of a control system in response to the mobile device connecting to the control panel, generate, based on the signal, an event device analysis for a number of event devices included in the control system, display, via the user interface, the event device analysis, in response to a selection of a fault corresponding to an event device from the list of event devices having faults, display a diagnostic guide to remedy the fault, and control, in response to an input to the user interface, at least one of operation of the control panel and an event device of the number of event devices.
Systems enabling testing of fire control panels together with remote control and providing text-to-speech of event data
A system for enabling one person testing and remote control of a fire control panel and generating text-to-speech audio during a walkthrough test of fire alarm system is disclosed. Typically, a technician interacts with a simulated interface displayed on the display of the mobile computing device. In response, commands are generated and sent to the control panel to cause the control panel to perform requested actions. The control panel then sends updated control panel user interface displayed information to the mobile computing device reflecting technician entered commands. Testing of the detection devices on the fire control panel generates event data that is sent to the mobile computing device, which receives the event data and enables a technician to select filtering options. The event data are then parsed to identify keywords and text-to-speech audio is generated for the filtered event data.

Physical and logical threat analysis in access control systems using BIM
An apparatus including a building information model (BIM) of a secured area having a plurality of different portions, the BIM embodied in a memory, a processor that identifies portions of the secured area having different levels of security and a processor that alerts a user of a security weakness based upon an interaction between the security levels and physical characteristics of the secured area defined by the BIM.

Water extinguishing system and associated method for controlling the water extinguishing system
The invention relates to a water extinguishing system (1) with a fluid supply (20), a pump (30) and a test line (40) with an opening element (2) which is configured to open the test line (40) during a test run of the pump (30). According to the invention, the test line (40) further comprises a closing element (4) which is configured to close the test line (40) if the water extinguishing system (1) is triggered.
Jamming detection method and device
Jamming detection device (7) and method, which scan one or more frequency bands (201, 401, 402) and, if jamming is detected in said frequency bands (201, 401, 402), transmits an alarm signal through an ultra narrow band network (8). Preferably, both an ISM network (2) connecting a control panel (3) and at least one peripheral (1), and a GSM network (4) connecting the control panel (3) and a back end service (5), are scanned. Also preferably, the ultra narrow band network (8) is implemented over the same frequency band (801) as the ISM network (2) connecting the control panel (3) and the least one peripheral (1).
Audio monitoring and sound identification process for remote alarms
In a method for remote monitoring of alarms, first and second audio test signals, generated by first and second alarm devices at first and second locations, respectively, are sensed, with both alarm devices corresponding to the same alarm type. For each alarm device, the respective audio test signal is processed to generate alarm identification data. An audio signal that the first alarm device generated in response to detecting an alarm condition (e.g., a fire, smoke, etc.) is sensed, and processed according to an audio recognition technique, and using the generated alarm identification data, to identify the alarm device that generated the audio signal. A notification is then caused to be sent to a user. The notification includes the location of the first alarm device.
OBSCURATION CLOUD GENERATOR
An obscuration cloud generation device (100) comprises a housing (101) having a door (102) and a frame (103) sized and shaped to accommodate an obscuration cloud generating canister (110) when the door (102) is in a closed state. Activation of the canister (110) emits a composition for forming the cloud. The door (102) has an operably open state in which the door (102) is open at least a predefined minimum extent for exiting of the emitted composition. A door checking system (104) applies a force for opening the door (102) and generates an indication of whether the door (102) is open at least to the minimum extent. A controller (105) is adapted to instruct the checking system (104) to apply the force and to receive the indication to determine, before activating the canister (110), that the door (102) is not blocked from reaching the operably open state.
Extracting the resistor-capacitor time constant of an electronic circuit line
A resistor-capacitor (RC) sensor circuit of an electronic device is driven to a drive voltage using a representative copy of a current that drives an electronic circuit line of the electronic device. The RC sensor circuit is to sample voltages that are indicative of an RC time constant of the electronic circuit line. A first sample voltage is determined by sampling a first representative voltage generated at the RC sensor circuit by driving the RC sensor circuit with the representative copy of the current over a first time period. A second sample voltage is determined by sampling a second representative voltage generated at the RC sensor circuit by driving the RC sensor circuit with the representative copy of the current over a second time period. A ratio of the first sample voltage and the second sample voltage is indicative of the RC time constant of the electronic circuit line.
