EXTRACTING THE RESISTOR-CAPACITOR TIME CONSTANT OF AN ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT LINE
20210192928 · 2021-06-24 ·

A resistor-capacitor (RC) sensor circuit of an electronic device is driven to a drive voltage using a representative copy of a current that drives an electronic circuit line of the electronic device. The RC sensor circuit is to sample voltages that are indicative of an RC time constant of the electronic circuit line. A first sample voltage is determined by sampling a first representative voltage generated at the RC sensor circuit by driving the RC sensor circuit with the representative copy of the current over a first time period. A second sample voltage is determined by sampling a second representative voltage generated at the RC sensor circuit by driving the RC sensor circuit with the representative copy of the current over a second time period. A ratio of the first sample voltage and the second sample voltage is indicative of the RC time constant of the electronic circuit line.

VISUALLY INDICATING A WANING POWER SOURCE OF A SAFETY SENSOR

Method and system for monitoring fire alarm systems

The near-universal connection between control panels and monitoring stations is used to transmit status information for non-compatible control panels to connected services systems. In this way, connected services systems can incorporate monitoring and tracking of non-compatible control panels as well as compatible control panels.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TESTING NETWORKED ALARM UNITS

Disclosed is an alarm unit having an alarm controller, the alarm controller being operatively connected to a plurality of implements within the alarm unit having a mechanical actuator and a magnetic sensor and at least one of a visual source and an audible source, wherein the alarm unit: monitors for input to initiate one of a plurality of self-tests including: a first test, initiated by actuation of the mechanical actuator without actuation of the magnetic sensor, and a second test, initiated by actuation of the mechanical actuator with actuation of the magnetic sensor, and wherein the first test differs from the second test.

TESTING GEOFENCED ALERTS

Systems and methods of testing the handling of, or response to, transmitted Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) that include a geofenced area. The testing can include providing first location Global Positioning System (GPS) signals to user equipment, causing the user equipment to determine it is geographically located at the first location. A WEA alert can be provided to the user equipment and the WEA can include a geofenced area that does not include the first location. The user equipment can be provided GPS signals corresponding to a second location that is within the geofenced area of the WEA. Verification can then be performed to check that the user equipment displays the WEA alert, or message, in response to the user equipment determining its geographical position as corresponding to the second location that is within the geofenced area.

LIFE VEST CONTAINER DEVICE

The invention relates to a life vest container device, in particular aircraft seat life vest container device, for a life vest unit, with a life vest container comprising an accommodation unit that has an accommodation space as well as an access opening to the accommodation space, and with a monitoring device.

It is proposed that the monitoring device is at least configured to capture a change of at least one characteristic via at least one electric and/or electronic signal.

QR CODE PROXIMITY TESTING

A method of granting control access comprises displaying a QR code on a fire panel annunciator. A user device captures the QR code, extracts information from it, and forwards the extracted information to the fire panel. If the fire panel verifies that the extracted information is valid, the panel grants temporary control access to the user device.
