SAFETY MANAGEMENT AND BUILDING OPERATIONAL ASSESSMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MULTIPLE OCCUPANCY BUILDINGS
20230351531 · 2023-11-02 ·

Systems and methods are for performing operational assessment of a facility. An example method includes providing a facility information management server system, which includes a server system processor, a server system communication interface accessible by the server system processor, and a server system memory storing server system executable program instructions accessible by the server system processor. The example method further includes receiving a request from a client device, in which the received request indicates a facility operational assessment is to be conducted in relation to the facility. In response to the received request, the facility information management server system retrieves facility operational assessment data from a facility information repository database relating to the assessed facility. A facility operational assessment result can be determined based on the retrieved facility operational assessment data. The determined facility operational assessment result can be transmitted to the client device.

METHOD AND SYSTEM TO IMPROVE EFFICIENCY OF SYSTEM TESTS FOR A SYSTEM HAVING A PLURALITY OF SENSORS

A sensor walk-test may be streamlined by storing an expected behavior of sensor events. The sensor event data is then compared to the expected behavior of sensor events in order to determine which of the plurality of sensors need a sensor walk-test to verify proper operation of the sensor and which of the plurality of sensors do not need a sensor walk-test. A listing of which of the plurality of sensors are determined to need a sensor walk-test to verify proper operation of the sensor is displayed on a display of a user device. Communication testing may be streamlined in a similar manner.

Event input device testing

Devices, systems, and methods for event input device testing are described herein. In some examples, one or more embodiments include a controller comprising a memory and a processor to execute instructions stored in the memory to cause a first event input device of a group of event input devices to perform an automated test process, and determine whether a second event input device of the group of event input devices has detected a hazard event while the first event input device is performing the automated test process.

HARDWARE CONFIGURABLE SECURITY, MONITORING AND AUTOMATION CONTROLLER HAVING MODULAR COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL INTERFACES

A single platform for controller functionality for each of security, monitoring and automation, as well as providing a capacity to function as a bidirectional Internet gateway, is provided. Embodiments of the present invention provide such functionality by virtue of a configurable architecture that enables a user to adapt the system for the user's specific needs. Embodiments of the present invention further provide such functionality by providing for installation of removable, modular communication adapters for communication with a variety of devices external to the security, monitoring and automation controller.

SERVER-BASED NOTIFICATION OF ALARM EVENT SUBSEQUENT TO COMMUNICATION FAILURE WITH ARMED SECURITY SYSTEM

A server-based environment for reporting a status of a security, monitoring and automation controller is provided. Detecting cessation of an always-on persistent network connection between the SMA controller and the server is also provided. Reporting the cessation of the network connection to an end user and defined others is further provided. A further aspect provides for automatically reporting an alarm event to a central station, the end user, and others, in the event the cessation of the network connection occurs while the SMA controller is aimed and after a zone fault event, and not receiving a disarm notification prior to expiration of a preset entry delay.

Internet of things (IoT) based integrated device to monitor and control events in an environment

The present disclosure relates to real-time surveillance/monitoring of an environment using an Internet of Things (IoT) based integrated device. The integrated device comprises replaceable sensors and programmable image/video capturing device, that are communicatively connected to a processor. The processor correlates sensor data and data related to the images, audios and videos received from the replaceable sensors and the programmable image/video capturing device to validate occurrence of event in the environment. Later, information related to the validated events are transmitted to edge nodes, cloud servers, user devices or other sensor nodes for effective monitoring of occurred events. The integration of programmable image/video capturing device with the replaceable sensors helps in reducing chances of false event detection, as well as allows users to program the image capturing device for detection of various events. Also, integration of various sensors helps in reducing electrical wirings and overall complexity of the device.
