Methods and systems for managing execution of standard operating procedures by an operator to address alarms generated by a facility management system
A computer assisted facility monitoring method provides users with predefined operating procedures that are recommended for addressing one or more alarms acknowledged by the user. The predefined operating procedures are created and stored prior to the occurrence of the alarms. In some examples, after acknowledging an alarm occurrence, the user may be provided with an option for bypassing or disregarding the alarm, as some such acknowledgements may have been for false alarms. In some examples, the predefined operating procedure may specify multiple action steps for addressing an alarm. In such examples, the user can close out or settle an alarm incident even without completing all of the action steps, provided the user enters a valid reason for doing so. In some examples, a user can batch-select a group of alarms, wherein perhaps only some of the acknowledged alarms in the group have corresponding predefined operating procedures.
SECURITY SURVEILLANCE MICROWAVE SENSOR HAVING REDUCED FALSE REPORT RATE BY MEANS OF BIOLOGICAL SIGNAL DETECTION
The present invention relates to a security surveillance microwave sensor having a reduced false report rate by means of biological signal detection, which monitors and determines a malfunction state or a false alarm generated by environmental factors by detecting humans, animals or objects approaching within a predetermined distance using a microwave signal. The present invention may extend the monitoring distance of security surveillance, set an IF frequency band disturbed by a human body, amplify the IF frequency or use a change in the voltage level to extend the monitoring distance, manage a monitoring state by double-checking transmission and reception of security signals, and reduce the false report rate by distinguishing the false alarms or the malfunction state of the sensor.
PREDICTIVE ANALYSIS SUPPORT OF REMOTE TRACKING
A method for predictive analysis for maintaining a battery charge of a personal monitoring device is provided. The method includes: locking the personal monitoring device to a limb of a monitored person; collecting historical information about the personal monitoring device including movement data of the personal monitoring device and battery charging history of the personal monitoring device; analyzing the collected historical information for patterns of battery charging behavior; receiving a current location of the personal monitoring device; determining whether to send a battery charge reminder to the monitored person, based on at least a current location of the personal monitoring device, a current batter charge, and the patterns of battery charging behavior; and providing, in response to a positive outcome of the determining, a notification to the monitored person to charge the battery.
Determining a suitability of network nodes for RF-based presence and/or location detection
A system (1) for selecting one or more devices in a wireless network for transmitting, receiving and/or processing a radio frequency signal for presence and/or location detection comprises at least one processor (5) configured to determine a suitability of each of a plurality of devices (11-15) for transmitting, receiving and/or processing a radio frequency signal for presence and/or location detection, select a subset of devices from the 5 plurality of devices based on the suitability determined for each of the plurality of devices, and instruct at least one of the subset of devices to act as a device for transmitting, receiving and/or processing a radio frequency signal for presence and/or location detection.
Intrusion detection apparatus and method thereof
An intrusion detection apparatus and method thereof are provided. The intrusion detection apparatus includes a status detection device, a front-end signal processor, a delay device, and a signal sampler. The status detection device is configured to generate an indicating signal according to an opened status of the case. The front-end signal processor receives the indicating signal and performs a noise filtering function on the indicating signal so as to generate a processed indicating signal. The delay device delays the processed indicating signal to generate a delayed indicating signal. The signal sampler samples the processed indicating signal to generate a detection result according to the delayed indicating signal.
Method and system for object location notification in a fire alarm system
A system and method for object location notification in a fire alarm system is disclosed. The fire alarm system includes a fire alarm panel and fire alarm devices deployed within a premises that capture audio and/or image information. The fire alarm panel generates alarm signals and provides notifications of the existence of objects of interest from the audio and/or image information captured by the fire alarm devices. In examples, the fire alarm devices include alarm notification devices that generate an audible and/or visible fire alarm to occupants of the premises such as sirens and strobe lights, and fire sensor devices such as flame sensor devices and smoke sensor devices that monitor for flame and smoke as the indications of fire, respectively. In one embodiment, an analytics system is integrated within the fire alarm devices that determines the existence of the objects of interest from the captured audio and/or image information.
Mobile fire protection system and method
A mobile fire protection system comprises a first radiation detector for detecting radiation emitted by a flame in a monitoring region. A container holds fire suppression agent, the container being in selective fluid flow communication via a passage with an outlet for discharging the fire suppression agent. A mobile support structure carries the container. A valve is selectively movable between a closed state, wherein the fire suppression agent remains captive within the container, and an open state, wherein flow of the fire suppression agent from the container towards the outlet is enabled. A controller is configured, responsive to the first radiation detector detecting radiation emitted by the flame in the monitoring region, to cause the valve to move to the open state to discharge the fire suppression agent via the passage and the outlet towards the flame.
Fire detection system—end-to-end solution for fire detection design framework
A method of designing a fire detection system including: determining a location of one or more fire detection devices within the building; and generating a map that displays the location of one or more fire detection device.

Alarm with enhanced radio performance by isolation of radio from alarm components
An alarm or detector is provided and includes an alarm board assembly configured to perform one or more of alarm and detection operations and a communication module including an antenna configured to communicate with one or more other alarms and detectors. At least one of the alarm board and an alarm ground are isolated from a communication ground and the communication module and the communication module is isolated from a power source.
