Field device

A field device includes a detected signal converter configured to convert a detected signal of a sensor into a predetermined voltage and then to output the voltage, an amplifier configured to amplify an output signal of the detected signal converter, and a switching power supply as an internal driving power supply of the field device.

Method and apparatus for controlling device

A method in which a control device controls at least one of a plurality of terminal devices is provided. The method includes transmitting a search request for requesting information on a location of each of a plurality of terminal devices, and information on a direction of each of the plurality of terminal devices based on a direction in which the control device is directed, receiving a response corresponding to the transmitted search request, determining at least one of the plurality of terminal devices that are controllable from among the plurality of terminal devices based on the received response, and controlling the determined at least one of the plurality of terminal devices that are controllable.

ENABLING INTERCHANGEABILITY OF SENSOR DEVICES ASSOCIATED WITH A USER DEVICE

A user device may detect a connect event associated with a sensor device. The user device may be associated with a first sensor, and the sensor device may be associated with a second sensor. The user device may identify the second sensor based on detecting the connect event associated with the sensor device. The user device may replace the first sensor with the second sensor based on identifying the second sensor associated with the sensor device. The user device may provide data associated with the second sensor for use by an application of the user device.

Home automation control using context sensitive menus

Various arrangements for presenting contextual menus are presented. A mobile device may be configured to provide contextual menus for control or monitoring of components. Different menus and interfaces are presented based the position of the mobile device or objects being pointed at using the mobile device. Specific objects may be designated as control markers. The objects may be recognized using a camera of the mobile device. When a control marker is recognized a specific menu or interface that is associated with the control marker may be presented to the user.

Method for configuring a home-automation installation

Described are methods, recording media, and devices for configuring a home-automation installation comprising at least one first part of the home-automation installation and one second part of the home-automation installation and one configuration device. The first part of the home-automation installation comprises elements including a remote control unit and equipment controlled by the remote control unit, communicating over a first home-automation network, the first part having a first key, and the second part of the home-automation installation comprises elements including a remote control unit and equipment controlled by the remote control unit, communicating over a second home-automation network, the second part having a second key.

Adaptive telemetry based on in-network cross domain intelligence

Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for adaptive telemetry based on in-network cross domain intelligence. A telemetry server can receive at least a first telemetry data stream and a second telemetry data stream. The first telemetry data stream can provide data collected from a first data source and the second telemetry data stream can provide data collected from a second data source. The telemetry server can determine correlations between the first telemetry data stream and the second telemetry data stream that indicate redundancies between data included in the first telemetry data stream and the second telemetry data stream, and then adjust, based on the correlations between the first telemetry data stream and the second telemetry data stream, data collection of the second telemetry data stream to reduce redundant data included in the first telemetry data stream and the second telemetry data stream.

Disclosed is a terminal that integrates control of multiple appliances, where a corresponding control interface is provided in response to a physical design feature of the terminal. For example, in some cases the physical design feature may be a toggle switch, a pop-up button, or a deformable region of a flexible display. In this way, in response to activation of a physical design feature of a device, a user may use a single control interface integrating controls for multiple appliances to easily, immediately, and seamlessly control multiple different appliances.
