Method of retransmitting transmission block for new radio and apparatus using the same

Provided is a method of requesting, by a terminal, retransmission of a TB. The method may include: receiving a TB configured with K code blocks (CBs) and M code block groups (CBGs) from a base station (BS); determining whether reception of the TB is successful; and transmitting retransmission information about the TB to the BS when it is determined that the reception of the TB fails.

Techniques for signaling compressed HARQ or retransmission information between a base station and a user equipment

Techniques are described for wireless communication. One method includes receiving, at a user equipment (UE), a transport block (TB) that includes a plurality of code block groups (CBGs); determining CBG failure information identifying a set of one or more CBGs in the TB that failed to decode at the UE; determining a compressed representation of the CBG failure information; and transmitting, in response to receiving the TB, hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) information including the compressed representation of the CBG failure information. The compressed representation of the CBG failure information includes fewer bits of information than the CBG failure information.

System and method for improving efficiency of wirelessly transmitting video packets

A device, system and method are provided for wirelessly transmitting a sequence of video packets containing video data for one or more video frames. An importance metric associated with a priority of transmitting each individual packet in the sequence of video packets is independently computed, a retry limit or packet lifetime for each individual video packet in the sequence of video packets is independently determined based on the importance metric, and each video packet in the sequence of video packets is attempted to be transmitted. If the transmission attempt for an individual video packet in the sequence fails, the transmission attempt is repeated for up to the retry limit or the packet lifetime independently determined for the individual packet or until a successful transmission is achieved, whichever occurs first.

Integrated circuit

To improve throughput by reducing the resource used for transmitting a parameter relating to retransmission control and decreasing overhead of retransmission control signaling. Where a retransmission control method is employed with adaptive MCS control in which the encoding rate can be changed, the scheduling section sets the MCS in accordance with CQI notified from the communication counterpart apparatus. When transmission data is encoded, the RV parameter bit-number setting section sets the number of bits used for signaling the RV parameter to decrease as the encoding rate of the first transmission is decreased and sets the RV parameter based on the number of bits. For example, in a case where the encoding rate R is R>, two bits are set. In a case where the encoding rate <R, one bit is set. On the other hand, in a case where R, zero bits is set.

Retransmission indication based on an acknowledgement based feedback scheme for wireless communication

Aspects of the present disclosure provide various hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) retransmission indication schemes used in a HARQ retransmission process. The HARQ retransmission indication can implicitly or explicitly indicate which part of a transport block (TB), code block group(s), or code block(s) is/are being retransmitted so that the receiver can associate the retransmitted TB, code block group(s), code block(s) with the correct prior reception, for example, for HARQ combining purposes.

RF signal processing apparatus

The disclosure is related to an RF signal processing apparatus. The apparatus includes a processor and a buffer memory circuit. The apparatus includes a host interface for connecting with a host and an RF circuit for transmitting and receiving RF signals. The processor processes the RF signals to or from the RF circuit. The processor converts the received RF signals into data, or converts the data into the RF signals to be transmitted. The buffer memory circuit has a controller and two buffer memories. This memory architecture allows a system to assign a task to a first buffer memory and another task to a second buffer memory without restricting that the conventional buffer memory is limited to doing one task at a time. This memory architecture can solve inefficiency problems due to insufficient data transmission since the conventional buffer memory cannot be filled within a limited time period.

System and method extending range of a wireless network

A system and method are provided for extending range of devices in a legacy wireless network. Generally, the method involves providing in a transmitter of the system a frame having a first field including a number of preamble segments and a second field including a number of data segments. The transmitter in the system is then operated to transmit at least one of the preamble segments with at least a first transmit power, and to transmit the segments of the second field at a second transmit power, wherein the first transmit power is greater than the second transmit power. Other embodiments are also described.

Method and apparatus for hybrid automatic repeat request transmission

The present application discloses a method and apparatus for a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) transmission. An embodiment of the HARQ transmission method for the communication apparatus comprises: receiving configuration information related to a cross-carrier HARQ transmission from a base station, an initial transmission and a re-transmission of the HARQ transmission processable on different physical component carriers; receiving downlink control information from the base station, the downlink control information including control information for the cross-carrier HARQ transmission; and performing the cross-carrier HARQ transmission according to the configuration information and the downlink control information. By using the embodiments of the present invention, the HARQ transmission for the same data on a plurality of physical component carriers can be realized, and thus the effectiveness of the HARQ transmission is improved.

In systems, such as sensor systems, an output signal of the system (e.g. output of the sensor corresponding to a sensed characteristic) can be generated and provided. In response to a detected error, the output signal can be adjusted to generate an error indication signal pulse to indicate that an error has been detected. The output signal can then be adjusted to return to a signal level corresponding to the sensed characteristic. In response to the error being resolved, an error resolution signal pulse can be generated.
