CONTROLLING GROUPS OF ELECTRICAL LOADS
A load control system may include control devices for controlling electrical loads. The control devices may include load control devices, such as a lighting device for controlling an amount of power provided to a lighting load, and controller devices, such as a remote control device configured to transmit digital messages for controlling the lighting load via the load control device. The remote control device may communicate with the lighting devices via a hub device. The remote control device may detect a user interface event, such as a button press or a rotation of the remote control device. The remote control device or the hub device may determine whether to transmit digital messages as unicast messages or multicast messages based on the type of user interface event detected. The remote control device, or other master device, may synchronize and/or toggle an on/off state of lighting devices in the load control system.
System and method for determining the location and/or relative environment of a controlling device
A radio frequency connection between a controlling device and a one of a plurality of controllable appliances in an environment is used to determine when the controlling device is pointing more towards the one of the plurality of controllable appliances relative to remaining ones of the plurality of controllable appliances. When it is determined that the controlling device is pointing more towards the one of the plurality of controllable appliances relative to remaining ones of the plurality of controllable appliances, the controlling device automatically makes active a command codeset usable to transmit commands to command functional operations of the one of the plurality of controllable appliances.
Systems and methods for associating services and/or devices with a voice assistant
A password less login using a smart device is caused to retrieve from a cloud-server a one-time use code. The smart device is associated with a virtual user account to control a plurality of controllable devices with a device app installed on a smart device. The one-time use code is provided to a controllable device and the controllable device is caused to provide the one-time use code back to the smart device. The app causes the one-time use code provided back to the smart device by the controllable device to be authenticated. In response to the one-time use code being authenticated, the controllable device is bound to the app whereupon the controllable device is controllable through use of the app.
Method for wireless transmission of data in a medical or dental system and such a medical or dental system
A method for wireless transmission of data in a medical or dental system which has a foot control and at least two devices which can selectively be controlled wirelessly by the foot control, each device being assigned a specific identification code, wherein a controller provided in the foot control selects on the basis of data packets the device to which operating data are wirelessly transmitted, wherein each of the devices has its own data packet which comprises the specific identification code of the device and an individual rank assigned to this device of a ranking of the devices.

The remote control device, or other master device, may synchronize and/or toggle an on/off state of lighting devices in the load control system.
Supervised setup for control device with imager
Systems and methods associated with determining a pointing target of pointing device are disclosed. One embodiment disclosed herein is a method conducted with a control device having a pointing direction and an onboard imager. The field of view of the onboard imager includes the pointing direction. The method includes capturing a reference image, determining a characteristic quantity based on the reference image, generating a feedback message based on the characteristic quantity, and predicating a setup phase termination for the control device on the characteristic quantity.
System and method for optimized appliance control
In response to a detected presence of an intended target appliance within a logical topography of controllable appliances identity information associated with the intended target appliance is used to automatically add to a graphical user interface of a controlling device an icon representative of the intended target appliance and to create at a Universal Control Engine a listing of communication methods for use in controlling corresponding functional operations of the intended target appliance. When the icon is later activated, the controlling device is placed into an operating state appropriate for controlling functional operations of the intended target appliance while the Universal Control Engine uses at least one of the communication methods to transmit at least one command to place the intended target appliance into a predetermined operating state.

Surveillance system and operation method thereof
A user terminal includes: a communication interface configured to receive an image of a surveillance area, and transmit a control command to a first object; a display configured to display the image and a control tool regarding the first object; a user interface configured to receive a first user input to select the first object displayed in the image, and a second user input to control an operation of the first object; and a processor configured to: determine whether a user has a right to control the first object in response to the first user input; and based on determining that the user has the right to control the first object, display the control tool on the display, and generate the control command according to the second user input.
