METHOD AND DEVICE FOR VALIDATING VEHICLE-TO-X MESSAGES IN ORDER TO REGULATE THE TRAFFIC FLOW

A method for validating vehicle-to-X messages by a computing apparatus of a vehicle comprises receiving at least one vehicle-to-X message comprising information for regulating the traffic flow, and validating the at least one message, wherein, within the framework of the validation, at least a part of the message content comprised by the at least one message is checked for the consistency thereof. A device for validating vehicle-to-X messages and a vehicle are also disclosed.

PRACTICAL METHOD TO COLLECT AND MEASURE REAL-TIME TRAFFIC DATA WITH HIGH ACCURACY THROUGH THE 5G NETWORK AND ACCESSING THESE DATA BY CLOUD COMPUTING
20230057931 · 2023-02-23 ·

The present method permits to get real-time traffic data by the mean of pictures took by a series of georeferenced and synchronized high speed cameras installed on the portions of the road. These pictures and these data will be transferable by a secure means such as 5G or any other fast and secure technology on a server and accessible by cloud computing. Picture processing is carried out by photogrammetric, triangulation and picture recognition approaches in order to extract the position of each vehicle, pedestrian, cyclist or any object and identify its x, y, z coordinates in a local or global referencing system. This method permits to count the flow of traffic (vehicles, pedestrians, etc.) passing through these roads portions, to reproduce the real movements of vehicles, pedestrians and any object moving on a road, make simulations with a computer and intervene remotely in real-time to manage traffic.

Intelligent vehicle pass-by information sharing

A device and related method are associated with a focus vehicle. The device comprises a sensor that senses area information about an information area usable to assist the focus vehicle and an oncoming vehicle to pass each other, a transmitter that broadcasts the area information via a vehicle-to-vehicle network protocol, and a controller. The controller produces an assisting result from the area information and vehicle information related to the focus vehicle and the oncoming vehicle. The vehicle information includes first distance information of the focus vehicle from the information area, and second distance information of the oncoming vehicle from the information area. The device includes a display that displays virtual traffic information representing at least stopping and proceeding of the focus vehicle onto a windshield of the vehicle.

Control apparatus and method for causing light demitting devices to display crosswalk

A control apparatus is a control apparatus for causing light emitting devices to display a crosswalk when the control apparatus detects a pedestrian who is about to cross a road. The control apparatus includes a controlling portion configured to perform: detect, as a first vehicle, a vehicle traveling in a crosswalk display region where a crosswalk is to be displayed; determine whether or not the speed of the first vehicle is less than a reference speed; and in a case where the speed is less than the reference speed and a predetermined safety standard is satisfied, determine to cause the light emitting devices to display the crosswalk.

Prediction method for resilient interconnected traffic management

While it is well known to power traffic control devices (for example, traffic lights) by an alternative energy source during power outages, some embodiments of the present invention additionally have: (i) a set of control computer(s), remote from the various traffic control devices, that is powered by an alternative energy source during a power outage; and/or (ii) a communication network, for communications between the set of control computer(s) and the various traffic control devices, that is powered by an alternative power source during a power outage. The use of alternative power to power the control computer(s) (for example, a hub) and/or the communication network allows the traffic control devices to continue to operate in a coordinated manner as instructed by the control computers, thereby avoiding a situation where the traffic lights begin operating independently of each other during a power outage.
