SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONFIRMING IDENTITY AND LOCATION OF AN AIRCRAFT WITHIN AN AIRSPACE
A system includes an aircraft including a position sensor configured to output a position signal regarding a position of the aircraft within an airspace, and a propulsion system configured to output a position confirmation signal regarding the position of the aircraft within the airspace. A method includes outputting, by a position sensor of an aircraft, a position signal regarding a position of the aircraft within an airspace; and outputting, by a propulsion system of the aircraft, a position confirmation signal regarding the position of the aircraft within the airspace.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRANSCRIBING AND ANALYZING BROADCAST MESSAGES IN AN AIRCRAFT
Methods and systems provide a visual user interface on a display device associated with an aircraft. A Flight Information System (FIS) broadcast report; and an Air Traffic Control (ATC) broadcast message are received. The FIS broadcast report and the ATC broadcast message are transcribed. Ownship data for the aircraft is received. The ownship data concerns at least one of: a state of the aircraft, a flight plan for the aircraft and a state of components of the aircraft. The transcribed FIS broadcast report is analyzed with respect to the ownship data to determine filtered FIS information that is relevant to the ownship. A visual user interface (UI) is rendered to be displayed on the display device. The visual UI includes the transcribed ATC broadcast message and the filtered FIS information.
SUPPORTING AN AIRCRAFT ON A MISSION IN WHICH AN INTENT OF THE AIRCRAFT IS CONVEYED RESPONSIVE TO A LOST-LINK EVENT
A method is provided for supporting an aircraft to execute a mission in which the aircraft maneuvers in an airspace system. The method includes detecting a lost-link event in which a datalink between the aircraft and a control station is interrupted or lost, and responsive to which the aircraft is preconfigured to execute a procedure. The method also includes conveying an intent of the aircraft to execute the procedure over a radio channel assigned for voice communication in the airspace system. In this regard, conveying the intent includes composing a message that indicates the intent of the aircraft to execute the procedure. The message is applied to a text-to-speech engine to convert the message to a corresponding verbal message in which the intent of the aircraft is conveyed. The corresponding verbal message is then sent over the radio channel assigned for voice communication in the airspace system.
MOVING BODY, SMALL AIRCRAFT AND METHOD FOR DELIVERING GOODS USING DRONE
The moving body of the present invention is a moving body that has a weight of 300 kg or less and is activated by a user to move, the moving body comprising: a movement mechanism for moving; a communication unit for performing communication; a control unit that controls the moving mechanism so that the moving body moves when communication between the communication unit and an external communication device is not possible; and an attachment for fixing, wherein the control unit controls the moving mechanism so that the moving body moves when fixation by the attachment is released, and wherein the communication unit transmits user-related information, which is information related to the user, to the external communication device when the communication between the communication unit and the external communication device is possible.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING DRONE TRAFFIC PATTERNS
Systems and methods for determining drone traffic patterns are provided. For example, a method for determining a drone traffic pattern includes analyzing drone activity of drones in an area. The analysis is based on a speed, heading, altitude, or a combination thereof, of the drones. The method also includes determining one or more drone traffic patterns based on the analysis. The method also includes encoding the determined one or more drone traffic patterns in a database to provide one or more instructions for operation of a drone in the area.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DERIVING LEADING INDICATORS OF ECONOMIC ACTIVITY USING PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS APPLIED TO PEDESTRIAN ATTRIBUTES TO PREDICT BEHAVIORS AND INFLUENCE BUSINESS OUTCOMES
Predictive analytics techniques are provided for produce leading indicators of economic activity based on observed pedestrian attributes—e.g., appearance and behavior—and other factors determined from a range of available data sources. A consistent, semantic metadata structure is described as well as a hypothesis generating and testing system capable of generating predictive analytics models in a non-supervised or partially supervised mode.
Quadtree terrain data compression using distance-based pruning
A tree structure represents a terrain area as nested polygons organized in a parent-child relationship, each polygon associated to a specific geographic location. The tree structure defines at least one parent node and a plurality of child nodes, some being leaf nodes containing a height value. A processor uses a distance measure to change the tree structure topology assessing whether all leaf node children of a first parent node lie outside a predetermined distance from an aircraft runway, and if so, converting the first parent node into a leaf node by storing in the first parent node a height value representing the greatest of the respective height values of the leaf node children and by removing the leaf node children; and iteratively repeating for each remaining parent node until it has been determined that every remaining parent node in the data structure cannot be pruned without violating accuracy requirements.
Method and system for receiving and displaying UAV data
A handheld computing device comprises: a display; a camera operable to capture image data representing a scene, the scene comprising a UAV; an RF receiver configured to receive identification data wirelessly from the UAV as a result of the UAV having broadcast the identification data; and a controller configured to cause the received identification data and/or data based on the received identification data to be displayed on the display at the same time as a representation of the UAV.
INTERFERENCE LIMITING FOR SURVEILLANCE MESSAGES
In some examples, a system includes a transceiver configured to transmit a first surveillance message at a first power level at or below a first maximum power level. The system also includes processing circuitry coupled to the transceiver, the processing circuitry configured to determine that a threshold condition exists. The processing circuitry is also configured to determine a second maximum power level in response to determining that the threshold condition exists, where the second maximum power level is lower than the first maximum power level. The transceiver is configured to transmit, in response to the processing circuitry determining that the threshold condition exists, a second surveillance message at a second power level, wherein the second power level is at or below the second maximum power level.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A FLIGHT BOUNDARY OF AN AIRCRAFT
A system for controlling a flight boundary of an aircraft. The system includes a flight controller communicatively connected to the aircraft. The flight controller is configured to receive a plurality of flight data linked with the aircraft, determine a flight boundary for the aircraft as a function of the plurality of flight data, set an aircraft movement limit as a function of the flight boundary, receive a pilot instruction, and generate a control signal for the aircraft as a function of the aircraft movement limit and the pilot instruction. The control signal is limits the aircraft to remain within the flight boundary. A method for controlling a flight boundary of an aircraft is also provided.
