ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY, CUSTOMIZABLE CONSUMER GOODS PRODUCTS
The present invention relates to components of and methods of manufacture of environmentally-friendly, customizable consumer goods products. The invention disclosed herein relates to assembly features and methods involved with the manufacture of soft-good products as well as products incorporating soft-good materials with rigid structural materials to generate a product minimizing costly processes, chemicals, materials and/or shipping cost and the associated adverse environmental effects involved with production of consumer goods products using attachment features and interfaces. Embodiments of the attachment features and interfaces feature notches and mechanisms to affix discrete components to others through processes of interlocking with notches.
Biodegradable memory-card holder
Various embodiments include, for example, a memory-card holder including a one-piece, unitary tray formed entirely from a bio-degradable material. The tray has a cover portion and a bottom portion formed therein. At least one of the cover portion and the bottom portion has an indentation to accept a digital memory-card. The tray further includes a protrusion area on at least three sides projecting outward from and substantially parallel to the cover portion and the bottom portion. A hinge is integrally formed into the unitary tray and between the cover portion and the bottom portion. The hinge is arranged to allow the cover portion to fold over the bottom portion of the tray. A closure tab and an insertion slot are formed on distal, opposing ends of the tray and arranged to latch the cover portion and the bottom portion to one another. Protective covers for electronic devices
A protective cover for a head-mounted device may include a cover layer and a ribbed fabric sidewall that together form a recess for receiving the head-mounted device. The cover layer may include a foam layer and a stiffener wrapped in fabric layers and may be configured to cover and protect an external display in the head-mounted device. The ribbed fabric sidewall may include a knit fabric layer and knit ribs on opposing sides of the knit fabric layer. The ribbed fabric sidewall may have a button receiving region and a pull tab region that are modified relative to other regions of the ribbed fabric sidewall by including fewer ribs, unfilled ribs, or ribs of different heights. A pull tab may hide a seam in the ribbed fabric sidewall. The seam may be formed from a filled pocket that provides a plush surface under the pull tab.
