Dynamic vertiport configuration

A vertiport system dynamically updates configuration of a vertiport based on predicted usage of the vertiport during a given time frame. The vertiport system predicts vertiport usage using flight data and estimated passenger demands and determines a desired number of parking pads and a desired number of final approach and takeoff (FATO) pads for the vertiport during the time frame. Based on the desired number of parking pads and the desired number of FATO pads for the vertiport, the vertiport system determines an updated configuration of the vertiport. According to the updated configuration, the vertiport system updates the configuration of the vertiport for at least a portion of the time frame.

The present invention relates to a method for assisting the landing of an aircraft on a landing runway, the method comprising: detecting, by a radar, characteristic elements of the landing runway, determining the angular offset between the axis of the radar and the runway axis as a function of the coordinates of the characteristic elements detected, and determining, as a function of the angular offset determined and the coordinates of the characteristic elements detected: the distance of the orthogonal projection onto the runway axis from the horizontal projection of the radar, and the distance of the orthogonal projection onto the straight line passing through the runway threshold from the horizontal projection of the radar.

END-TO-END UNMANNED CONTROL SYSTEM OF AIRCRAFT NAVIGATION AND SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS

A control system in communication with one of an aircraft navigational aid system and an aircraft surveillance system is described. The control system obtains measurement data associated with radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted by the one of the aircraft navigational aid system and the aircraft surveillance system from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) reporting the measurement data. The control system also determines whether the measurement data indicates the RF signals are within a range of values based on a location of the UAV in an airspace proximate to the one of the aircraft navigational aid system and the aircraft surveillance system. The control system further controls the RF signals transmitted by the one of the aircraft navigational aid system and the aircraft surveillance system based on the measurement data and the location of the UAV. Methods performed by the control system are also described.

AUTOMATIC AUTOLAND ACTIVATION METHODS AND SYSTEMS

Methods and systems are provided for assisting operation of a vehicle by automatically initiating activation of an automated functionality, such as autoland functionality of an aircraft, in the absence of user input within one or more monitoring periods. One method involves identifying a triggering event, identifying a monitoring period associated with the triggering event, monitoring one or more components for user input within the monitoring period associated with the triggering event, and automatically initiating activation of an automated functionality associated with the vehicle in the absence of user input within the monitoring period associated with the triggering event. In some implementations, the monitoring period adaptively and dynamically varies during operation.
