20220044588 · 2022-02-10 ·

A language learning assembly includes a body having at least one first recess and at least one second recess arranged parallel to the at least one first recess. A plurality of blocks are color-coded by syntax category or “parts of speech” and have a plurality of words displayed on each block. The blocks are sized to fit side-by-side within one of the at least one first recess and the at least one second recess to form grammatically correct sentences. Each block can have a different word on at least two faces thereof. Some of the blocks can be configured to display words in a fixed fashion. Some of the blocks can have electronic displays configured to display words electronically.

System and Method for Teaching a Student How to Write using a Plurality of Charts
20210398518 · 2021-12-23 ·

A system and method of teaching a user how to write using a plurality of chart is described herein. The method can comprise the step of communicating a word to a student in any manner other than a written form of the word. The spoken word of the word can comprise a set of phonemes in an order such that when the set of phonemes is spoken, the set of phonemes form the spoken word. The method can also comprise the step of prompting the student to encode each phoneme of the set of phonemes with a grapheme, receiving first selections of the graphemes to form a set of graphemes in the order, and displaying in the order the graphemes that can be associated with the first selections. The set of graphemes can form an unconventional spelling of the word.

Medicament delivery device

The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a housing (60), which housing is arranged to accommodate a medicament container (62); a drive unit (86) operably arranged to act on said medicament container (62) for expelling a dose of medicament; an activation unit (74) operably connected to said drive unit for activating said drive unit (86); said drive unit (86) comprising an actuation element (84) arranged movable inside the housing (60) from an initial position prior to activation, to a displaced position after activation; at least a first NFC-chip (170, 172) comprising specific information arranged on said actuation element; at least one shielding element (174) arranged to said housing, such as to shield said at least first NFC-chip (170, 172) from being read by an NFC-chip reader when said actuation element (84) is either in the initial position or in the displaced position. The present invention also comprises a communication system in which said medicament delivery device is a part.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROFICIENCY ASSESSMENT AND REMEDIAL PRACTICE
20210375149 · 2021-12-02 · ·

A system and a method for proficiency assessment and remedial practice is disclosed. The system includes a performance information receiving subsystem to receive performance information of a learner from at least one source, a learner assessment subsystem to determine a current proficiency level of the learner, a performance comparison subsystem to determine difference between the current proficiency level and first predetermined threshold limit. A remedial subsystem to recommend a set of remedial practices to the learner. A deep remedial subsystem including a test administration module to conduct a practice test. A proficiency assessment module to determine difference in the current proficiency level of the learner and a second predetermined threshold limit, identifies a learning requirement of the learner recurrently using a coherence map and recommends a set of deep remedial practices to the learner recurrently. The system also allows for enhanced interaction for the learner via an interactive digital assistant.

Screenless smart learning toy and system

A screenless smart toy device may be a block made of natural or wooden material and may include a transparent or semi-transparent panel allowing one or more LEDs, from within the smart toy device, to be visible when illuminated. The smart toy device may read RFID values from various objects, such as tiles having objects depicted thereupon and RFID tags embedded within, and play different sounds and/or illuminate its LEDs with different colors based on the RFID tag that was read. The smart toy device may operate in a variety of modes, such as in a play/explore mode, quiz mode, definition mode, etc. The smart toy device may be configured into different modes and/or language settings by use of a mode card or separate application.

READING SYSTEM WITH CODED WORDS AND HAND/FINGER SIGNS
20230267850 · 2023-08-24 ·

Teaching reading to a student can include word cards and charts. The word cards can include coded words that have corresponding codes located adjacent to letters of the word based on pronunciation of the words. Different hand/finger signs can correspond to the different codes. A student can learn how the different codes are applied to different words. The student can also learn the hand/finger signs for each code. An instructor can begin by sounding out different words to demonstrate the different codes and the proper hand/finger signs that correspond to the different codes. The student can then sound out the same word or different word using the hand/finger signs for the codes for each word. Feedback can be given to the reader based on pronunciation and whether the student used the correct hand/finger signs.

Interactive system for teaching sequencing and programming

The present disclosure discloses an interactive system for teaching sequencing and programming to children. In some embodiments, the interactive system comprises a plurality of tiles organisable to form a structural pattern, wherein each tile comprises an RFID tag storing at least a pre-defined command corresponding to a first action and an identifier associated with a second set of actions, and an interactive robot. In some embodiments, the interactive robot when placed on the tile is configured for, receiving a voice command from a user, reading at least the pre-defined command and the identifier from the RFID tag associated with the tile, comparing the command received from the user and the pre-defined command, and performing one or more actions from among a third set of actions based on a result of comparison.

Textual Analysis System for Automatic Language Proficiency Assessment
20210366468 · 2021-11-25 ·

A language proficiency analyzer automatically evaluates a person's language proficiency by analyzing that person's oral communications with another person. The analyzer first enhances the quality of an audio recording of a conversation between the two people using a neural network that automatically detects loss features in the audio and adds those loss features back into the audio. The analyzer then performs a textual and audio analysis on the improved audio. Through textual analysis, the analyzer uses a multi-attention network to determine how focused one person is on the other and how pleased one person is with the other. Through audio analysis, the analyzer uses a neural network to determine how well one person pronounced words during the conversation.
