MULTISENSORY APPARATUS FOR FACILITATING THE LEARNING OF HANDWRITING
Handwriting learning apparatuses and associated methods that facilitate the ability of a user to learn how to correctly and/or preferably form at least one character are disclosed. In an aspect, handwriting learning apparatuses and associated methods of use are disclosed that comprise at least one substantially flat at least partially rigid medium within which one or more segments of one or more characters may be defined by one or more grooves. At least one protruding element may extend outwardly from at least one portion of at least one inner surface of the grooved character(s) at an angle such that when the user attempts to use an elongated insertion device to trace the grooved character segment(s), the insertion device may only slide in one single direction. This may help prevent users, such as children and other students, from forming characters incorrectly (e.g., writing them backwards) when they practice handwriting in an at least partially unsupervised setting, thereby minimizing the potential for bad writing habits to go unnoticed when handwritten characters may otherwise appear to have been formed correctly. Additionally, the at least one protruding element may be at least partially flexible so that, when the insertion device makes at least partial physical contact with at least one portion of the at least one protruding element, the at least one portion of the at least one protruding element may be temporarily displaced, thereby producing one or more sounds and/or vibrations that may be heard and/or felt by the user, respectively, thereby creating a multisensory learning experience for the user that may increase the user's ability to learn and retain one or more correct and/or preferred character formation techniques.
Method for facilitating handwriting practice and electronic device for implementing the method
A method for facilitating handwriting practice includes: generating handwriting strokes in response to user input of user-writing strokes; generating an input image that includes the handwriting strokes, and that has a shape similar to a shape of a standard image associated with a standard word character; scaling the input image to generate a scaled image with a size that is the same as a size the standard image; overlapping the standard image and the scaled image; comparing an n.sup.th handwriting stroke in the scaled image with an n.sup.th standard stroke in a standard order of the standard word character; and when the n.sup.th handwriting stroke does not correspond in position to the n.sup.th standard stroke, displaying a notification of a stroke order error.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BIMANUAL TRAINING
A system including a first substrate implement with a first side, a first groove contrivance machined, molded or casted into the first side, and in which the first groove contrivance comprises a first predetermined pattern and a predetermined size. A first tracing tool includes a first end portion, in which said first end portion comprises a tip with a first predetermined diameter size and shape, wherein the first predetermined diameter size and shape is configured to correspond to the first predetermined size of the first groove contrivance. The tip of the first end portion is operable for tracing the first groove contrivance.

Method of providing handwriting style correction function and electronic device adapted thereto
A method of providing a handwriting style correction function and an electronic device adapted to the method are provided. The electronic device includes: a touch screen; a processor electrically connected to the touch screen; and a memory electrically connected to the processor. The memory stores instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising: displaying at least one reference character on the touch screen; receiving a touch gesture via the touch screen; displaying a track of the received touch gesture on the touch screen; recognizing the track of the touch gesture as at least one input character corresponding to at least one reference character; identifying at least one reference character and at least one input character, as at least one stroke, based on a preset standard; comparing corresponding strokes of at least one reference character with at least one input character, and determining errors by strokes; and summing the errors by strokes of each of at least one reference character, and determining errors by characters.
Apparatus and method for aiding learning
Apparatus for aiding learning by a person comprises a cover or shield (1) for concealing from the person a part of the person's body, and a webcam (6) and a screen (10) for visually displaying to the person, during concealment of the concealed body part, images of a part of the person's body not in direct view of the person. The apparatus may be used in the learning of a skill, such as hand-writing. In another embodiment, the shield is a collar worn to conceal part of the wearer's body, and the webcam and screen display the concealed body part in real time to the wearer. This apparatus can be used in many applications, such as to learn sports activities or to correct body image, posture or movement.

Writing instrument
An attachment for a writing instrument, comprising a support member comprising a distal end (D) and a proximal end (P), wherein an attachment axis (A) is defined between the distal end and the proximal end, wherein the support member is configured to be attached to a writing instrument, an inertial measurement unit, wherein the inertial measurement unit is configured to measure a movement of the attachment axis (A) between a first and a second position of the attachment axis, a momentum wheel assembly, wherein the momentum wheel assembly comprises a first rotatable member coupled to a first motor, wherein the first motor is configured to apply a variable torque to the first rotatable member, and a control unit configured to actuate the first motor based on the movement of the attachment axis measured by the inertial measurement unit.
A-Z Mark in the Middle! Tracing Tool
The A-Z Mark in the Middle! Tracing Tool is a set of alphabet letters in uppercase, that can be used in Special Education or even with the general population, to assist in the learning of their shapes by means of tracing the lines of the letter shapes. The letters will have an indentation in which a writing utensil will be placed, and the user will use that indentation to draw the letter. With the aid of this tool the user will be more successful in identifying letters and writing them, and consequently will display proper handwriting skills.
