SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MOVEMENT SKILL ANALYSIS AND SKILL AUGMENTATION
A cue processor uses one or more sensors to obtain motion data for a user performing a physical task in an environment. A cueing law is based on a model determined from the motion data, for example a movement and skill model where the collected motion data are parsed into one or more movement units used to accomplish a range of outcomes. The cue processor generates a movement phase estimation to predict a movement phase and associated movement feature, and applies the cueing law to generate a cue signal. The cue signal is communicated to the user as a visual, audio or haptic stimulus, selected to target the feature for the user to achieve or improve a desired outcome.
Quantified Movement Feedback System
An analysis system and method for providing movement feedback by sensing and synchronizing different types of information, such as video, inertial and positional information, weight transfer information, audio and music information, etc. The synchronized information is replayed for the user in a manner that enables simultaneous viewing of movement along with calculations and presentation(s) of analysis information related to the movement.
Vibrotactile control systems and methods
Methods and systems are disclosed to facilitate creating the sensation of vibrotactile movement on the body of a user. Vibratory motors are used to generate a haptic language for music or other stimuli that is integrated into wearable technology. The disclosed system in certain embodiments enables the creation of a family of devices that allow people such as those with hearing impairments to experience sounds such as music or other input to the system. For example, a sound vest or other wearable array transforms musical input to haptic signals so that users can experience their favorite music in a unique way, and can also recognize auditory or other cues in the user's real or virtual reality environment and convey this information to the user using haptic signals.
System and method for synchronizing audio, movement, and patterns
A system and method for providing movement indications associated with a first audio information. The system includes an audio input, a storage media, a wearable device, and a processor. The audio input is for receiving the first audio information. The storage media is for storing a plurality of audio informations and a plurality of associated movement patterns. The processor is for matching the first audio information to one of the plurality of audio informations and for returning both a first movement pattern and a first timing information associated with the first audio information. The wearable device has a movement sensor for generating a set of movement measurement that is used for generating a set of movement indications including, at least, a corrective movement indication corresponding to a difference between a movement measurement and the first movement pattern. The wearable can also have a movement indicator for transmitting the set of movement indications.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
There is provided an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program, suitable for appropriately recognizing rhythm of motion of a user. The information processing apparatus includes a motion rhythm recognizing unit configured to recognize motion rhythm indicating rhythm of motion of a user on the basis of detection data detected by a sensor apparatus at one or more detection positions including at least one portion on a body trunk of the user, the detection data indicating motion of the detection positions. The present technology can be applied, for example, to a production system that produces performance.
System for movement skill analysis and skill augmentation and cueing
A cue processor uses one or more sensors to obtain motion data for a user performing a physical task in an environment. A cueing law is based on a model determined from the motion data, for example a movement and skill model where the collected motion data are parsed into one or more movement units used to accomplish a range of outcomes. The cue processor generates a movement phase estimation to predict a movement phase and associated movement feature, and applies the cueing law to generate a cue signal. The cue signal is communicated to the user as a visual, audio or haptic stimulus, selected to target the feature for the user to achieve or improve a desired outcome.
BALLET TRAINING DEVICE
A ballet training device configured to promote proper foot placement and aid in the development of proper strength and musculature is disclosed herein. The ballet training device may comprise a first loop coupled to a second loop at an overlap point, a resistance band coupled to a lateral portion of the first loop and to a lateral portion of the second loop, the resistance band configured to be disposed on a lateral side of a wearer's foot, and a traction mechanism disposed on at least a portion of the first loop and at least a portion of the second loop. The first loop is configured to encircle the wearer's ankle, the second loop is configured to encircle the wearer's foot, and the overlap point is configured to be disposed above the wearer's instep such that the device is generally in the shape of an infinity sign.
APPARATUS FOR WRITING MOTION SCRIPT, APPARATUS FOR SELF-TEACHING OF MOTION AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME
Disclosed herein are an apparatus for writing a motion script and an apparatus and method for self-teaching of a motion. The method for self-teaching of a motion, in which the apparatus for writing a motion script and the apparatus for self-teaching of a motion are used, includes creating, by the apparatus for writing a motion script, a motion script based on expert motion of a first user; analyzing, by the apparatus for self-teaching of a motion, a motion of a second user, who learns the expert motion, based on the motion script; and outputting, by the apparatus for self-teaching of a motion, a result of analysis of the motion of the second user.
TRAINING VEST FOR DANCING
The present disclosure provides a dance training vest and method for dance training. The dance training vest includes a first band cuff operably engaged with the vest, a second band cuff operably engaged with the vest, and a plurality of force simulating members operably engaged with the vest, the first band cuff, and the second band cuff. The plurality of force simulating members is positioned in a desired location to assist with the simulation of proper user position during a dance movement. The method for dance training includes donning, by a user, a first dance training vest, connecting a first end of a first force simulating member to the first training vest, moving in a dance movement to move the first dance training vest, and imparting a force of the first force simulating member to the first training vest.
