Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus, systems, computer program products for generating an annotation for textual information and/or media content for technical documentation for an item in an interactive electronic technical manual system (IETM) configured to provide electronic and credentialed access to the technical documentation via an IETM viewer. In one embodiment, a method is provided comprising: providing a window for display comprising the textual information and/or media content; receiving input of a selection of an annotation selection mechanism; and responsive to receiving the input: generating the annotation for the textual information and/or media content; receiving an indication of a position in the textual information and/or media content to associate with the annotation; and providing an annotation window for the annotation for display via the IETM viewer, wherein the annotation window comprises an attach file mechanism, a capture mechanism, a share mechanism, and a change form mechanism.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus, systems, computer program products for displaying a data source of data found in technical documentation for an item via an interactive electronic technical manual system (IETM) configured to provide electronic and credentialed access to the technical documentation via an IETM viewer. In one embodiment, a method is provided comprising: providing a window comprising (1) textual information from and/or an illustration related to the data and (2) a selection mechanism; receiving a first type or a second type of selection of the mechanism; responsive to receiving the first type of selection, generating a data source window comprising a relevant section of the data source that relates to the textual information and/or the illustration; responsive to receiving the second type of selection, generating the data source window comprising the data source; and providing the data source window for display via the IETM viewer.

There is described a method for assembling or repairing an electrical cable in an environment. The method comprises obtaining a unique identifier of an origin connector of the electrical cable to be assembled or repaired. A computing device receives a reading of the unique identifier of the origin connector of the electrical cable to be assembled or repaired and identifies a connection between the origin connector of the electrical cable to be assembled or repaired and a destination electrical component. At the computing device, there is made a determination of the connection that was identified with a connectivity list required for the electrical cable, from a database, to determine a next step of the assembling or the repairing which depends on the connection identified by the computing device.

In an embodiment of the present invention, a method for generating a prediction of ability of a subject to perform a task in a future time step includes receiving performance data corresponding to a performance of the subject on the task; receiving a plurality of biometric inputs computed based on physiological data during the performance of the subject on the task; identifying a numerical relationship between the performance data and the plurality of biometric inputs; generating a modulation parameter for each of the plurality of biometric inputs based on the identified numerical relationship; loading a plurality of state variable inputs produced by a generic model of performance; and generate the prediction of ability to perform the task at the prediction time, generated by a trained performance predictor based on biometric inputs predicted based on the modulation parameters.

In one embodiment, a method is provided comprising: providing a window comprising a first view pane displaying a list of parts used for a component of the item and a second view pane displaying a 3D graphic of the component; receiving selection of a part of the component displayed in the 3D graphic using a first selection mechanism; responsive to receiving the selection: causing the part in the list of parts to be displayed as highlighted on the first view pane; and causing the part in the 3D graphic to be displayed as highlighted on the second view pane using a first highlighting format.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus, systems, computer program products for importing information of a source document for a publication of technical documentation for an item into an interactive electronic technical manual system (IETM). In one embodiment, a method is provided comprising: for each format structure found in the information: reading the format structure configured to contribute to an organizational framework of the source document; and assigning a tag to a component corresponding to the format structure, wherein the tag (1) identifies the format structure and the component and (2) allows display of the format structure on a window; receiving a request to view the information; and responsive to receiving the request: generating the window based on the tag for each format structure to display each format structure on the window along with the corresponding component to provide the organizational framework of the source document on the window.
PROVIDING ENHANCED FUNCTIONALITY IN AN INTERACTIVE ELECTRONIC TECHNICAL MANUAL
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus, and computer program products for signing into an interactive electronic technical manual system (IETM) configured to provide electronic and credentialed access to technical documentation for items via an IETM viewer. In various embodiments, a sign-in window is provided comprising a dataset field, a unit field, and an object field. A selection of a dataset for an item is made and in response, selectable units are displayed for the unit field. Responsive to a selection of a unit, selectable objects are displayed for the object field based on the selected unit and dataset. Responsive to a selection of an object, a sign-in mechanism is made available that can be used to sign in a user to access the IETM via the IETM viewer, wherein the IETM tracks and records activities performed or content accessed by the user while signed into the IETM.
