MODULAR AND HYGIENIC RFID TRAINING SLEEVE
A shareable, wearable training system including a first cuff configured to be worn on an upper arm and/or torso of a user, the first cuff including a first housing defining a first slot and a radio-frequency identification (RFID) transponder sized to fit within the first slot, a second cuff configured to be worn on a lower arm of the user, the second cuff comprising a second housing defining a second slot, and an interchangeable computer system sized to fit within the second slot. The computer system includes a RFID reader and instructions causing the computer system to determine and record whether the RFID transponder is within a threshold distance of the RFID reader and provides the user with a notification when the RFID transponder is within the threshold distance, thereby notifying the user when a distance between a hand of the user and a face of the user is less than the threshold distance.
Camera system for defining an inspection space
A camera system for defining an inspection space including one or more cameras placed in proximity to a sink or wash station. The camera system is configured such that points within the defined inspection space are visible and may be recorded, but objects outside the defined inspection space are blurred or invisible. This is accomplished by selecting depth of field or by attaching a computing device that is programmed to not record or save information from parts of the image.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MOTIVATING AND MONITORING HYGIENE COMPLIANCE IN A HOSPITAL OR RELATED ENVIRONMENT
Methods, and a hand wash monitoring system for motivating and monitoring hygiene compliance are disclosed. The hand wash monitoring system communicatively connects to Radio-frequency Identification (RFID) readers positioned at a sanitizer unit and a water dispensing unit. The RFID readers detect the presence of a user wearing a RFID badge near the sanitizer unit and the water dispensing unit. Further, the RFID readers detect the usage of the sanitizer unit and the water dispensing unit by the user and communicate the information to the hand wash monitoring system. The hand wash monitoring system includes a display. The hand wash monitoring system displays the status of user's compliance of hand washing and/or hand sanitization on the display to improve hygiene compliance with established protocols.
MULTI-TIERED GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE (GUI) SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTEROPERATING BETWEEN MULTIPLE MOBILE APPLICATION MODES DURING A REAL-TIME CAREGIVING EVENT
Multi-tiered graphical user interface (GUI) systems and methods are described for interoperating between multiple mobile application modes during a real-time caregiving event. An expert GUI and a novice GUI are rendered having a an expert mode and an novice mode, respectively, that share a control state for passing operation between the expert mode and the novice mode. A triggering of a caregiving event is detected that causes the passing of the control state from the expert mode to the novice mode, and the rendering of a novice GUI in an interoperated sequence following rendering of the expert GUI. Caregiving data of a novice user is generated during the novice mode, wherein the novice GUI, as rendered during the novice mode, comprises a different interface compared with the expert GUI, and the novice GUI configured for manipulation by the novice user.
Shoe Tying Device
A shoe tying device that includes a female member having a first female member end, a second female member end, at least one female engagement section, and two cut-out portions. The shoe tying device further includes a male member having a male member top face, a first male member end, and a second male member end. One of the male and female members includes two pillars that project from the member top face, and at least one engagement member that extends from one of the members. The at least one female engagement section and the at least one male engagement section selectively engageable with each other creating an opening from the alignment of the cut-out portions of the of the female member and the cut-out portions of the male member.
Apparatus and method for education and learning
Embodiments in accordance with the present disclosure provide an apparatus that facilitates education and learning through tactile sensory demonstration and action. The apparatus includes a first part and a second part attached to the first part. The first part may be worn by a guide, while the second part may be worn by a child or a student undergoing training. The apparatus allows the guide to control the movements of the child or the student.
Methods and devices for increasing urine stream accuracy
A floating device acting as a target for enhancing the accuracy of a urine stream. When placed inside a toilet bowl, the target provides visual stimulation and cognitive reinforcement in response to contact with urine. The target may comprise a hull with a cavity. A reactive substance may be placed in the cavity of the hull. The reactive substance may provide a visual stimulation or cognitive reinforcement when contacted by the urine stream. A top portion may be fit against the hull to retain the reactive substance in the cavity of the hull. A barrier layer may cover at least a portion of the hull and/or the top portion. The barrier layer may be semi-permeable or selectively permeable to water when contacted by a urine stream from a user.
USER INTERFACE FOR SYSTEM TO PROMOTE OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE OF HANDHELD COSMETIC DEVICE
A method for controlling display of a user interface for optimizing performance in using a personal care appliance is provided including: receiving a user info or regimen; receiving a protocol or routine to use the appliance; receiving an appliance status related to a user's usage of the appliance; comparing the appliance status to a target usage of the appliance in the protocol or routine; and controlling display of an indicator of the user's performance based on the comparison.
Method And Model For Visual Demonstration Of Bacteria Removal On Simulated Tongue Material
A method of demonstrating bacteria removal from the tongue, the method comprising: providing a simulated tongue substrate comprising a plurality of projections wherein the plurality of projections are arranged to simulate the surface of a human tongue; applying a film to the surface of the simulated tongue substrate; exposing the simulated tongue substrate to a liquid; agitating the simulated tongue substrate and the liquid to at least partially remove the film, wherein a liquid-film mixture is formed.
COSMETICS TRAINING REMOVABLE EYE PATCH
The present invention is in the technical field of cosmetology. More specifically, the present invention is utilized in the application of eyelash extensions. The eye patch provides students of cosmetology a practical device to practice and perfect the technique of their craft. Existing training devices do not provide the angle, dimensions or consistency of the eyelid and eyelashes that are necessary for students to apply eyelashes in a manner that is realistic to that of applying an eyelash directly to a human eyelid. The present training aid simulates the human eye in an open or closed state, allowing students to realistically practice performing eyelash extensions without the need of a human subject. Further, the present training aid is removable and reusable.
