ADJUSTABLE TIMER
20190146421 · 2019-05-16 ·

An adjustable timer teaches time in a simple manner to those having difficulty understanding the concept of time. The timer displays remaining and elapsed time. The timer may be set to rotate a shaft at different speeds. A colored disk is attached to the shaft. Boards having faces with different numerical indicia reside in a cavity and may be interchanged by a user. The exposed board face corresponds to the setting of the timer such that one full rotation of the shaft and disk corresponds to the numerical indicia of the exposed board face.

SEQUENTIAL DISPLAYING METHOD

A sequential displaying method is provided. The method includes providing a display device which includes a first display area. The first display area has N first sub-areas that are arranged in sequence, wherein N is positive integer. Then, displayed images in the N first sub-areas are sequentially updated, wherein a time interval of updating the displayed images in two adjacent first sub-areas is 60/N seconds and a frequency for updating a displayed image in each of the first sub-areas is once every 60 seconds. Thus, a method for displaying time information could be improved.

A timer kit comprises a battery powered timer and a caddy assembly. The battery powered timer has a colored disk attached to a rotatable shaft. The initial position of the colored disk is manually set by an operator using a positioner accessible through a circular opening extending through a front wall of the caddy assembly. The battery powered timer is removable from the caddy assembly in a generally vertical direction behind the front wall of the caddy assembly. The caddy assembly has a receptable for holding the battery powered timer in a generally vertical orientation behind the front wall of the caddy assembly.

A slotted timer teaches time in a simple manner to those having difficulty understanding the concept of time. The timer rotates a shaft which rotates a colored disk attached to the shaft. The initial position of the colored disk is manually set by an operator using a card residing in a slot extending across the top of the timer. The card may illustrate an activity to be completed in a time period set by the operator. Different cards may be used to indicate different activities.

TELLING TIME RULER
20170032697 · 2017-02-02 ·

Applicant has disclosed a method and apparatus for teaching young students how to tell time on an analog clock. In a preferred method embodiment, Applicant's invention comprises: inserting a ruler with twelve hinged sections (each containing indicia representing five intervals) into a substantially straight recessed channel in a first base; sliding hour, minute and second hands, located in a parallel thinner recessed channel in the base, along the twelve sections to help the student conceptualize minutes, hours and seconds; removing the ruler from the first base; pivoting each hinged section until the ruler's ends meet, whereupon the ruler's outer edge substantially forms a circle; placing the substantially circular ruler into a correspondingly shaped recess in a second base; and rotating hour, minute and second hands, about a pin in the second base, and around the pivoted sections to help the student conceptualize how to tell time on an analog clock.

INTRODUCTORY SEXAGESIMAL TEACHING CLOCK
20250378767 · 2025-12-11 ·

The present invention relates to introductory teaching timepieces in general and specifically to a novel design applicable to watches and clocks whereby only the second hand is present and from which the minute and hour hands have been removed. The second hand moves in equally timed units such that one full cycle of its motion consists of 60 equally timed seconds. In doing so, it isolates the sexagesimal basis for time-telling so that the beginner can understand this numerical system prior to combining it with the duodecimal system used for minutes and hours.
