The present invention relates to a method of instructing a user on performing a task, e.g., a handcraft task, the method comprising: capturing images while the user performs the task, and a user terminal outputting instructions to the user, wherein the output instructions depend on the captured images. The present invention also relates to a corresponding system and use.

According to the present invention there is provided a method of projecting images of sewing patterns as templates onto fabrics. The contemplated application for the invention includes sewist making an article of clothing. As such, images of the patterns to be sewn are stored in a storage device for latter access from a computing device that sends them to a projecting device for projection. The projecting devices is then positioned, graduated, calibrated, and set for optimizing the cutting of the fabric. Thereafter, the operator may interactively modify the projected image, and as such initiates the cutting of the fabric, in accordance to the projected sewing patterns.

In one example, a kit for making a crochet piece, the kit includes a length of yarn, a first end of the yarn formed into a pre-started piece, the pre-started piece including a plurality of crochet stitches. The kit also includes at least one stitch marker in at least one of the crochet stitches and a knot to prevent unraveling of the pre-started piece. The kit also includes an article including (i) a link to an electronic address with instructions for forming the crochet piece using the length of yarn and the pre-started piece, and (ii) a code for accessing the instructions.

A crafting system for guiding a user in creating a craft, includes a crafting challenge repository storing a plurality of crafting challenges. The challenges each include instructions for creating a specific craft. A display surface can display the crafting challenges thereon. A controller includes instructions to receive a selection of a selected crafting challenge to be displayed on the display surface, and instructions to prepare a selected challenge for display on the display surface and to provide the prepared challenge to the display surface for display thereon. The controller is accommodated in a housing. At least one at least partially transparent crafting surface, may be removably mounted above the display surface such that when instructions of the prepared challenge are displayed on the display surface, the instructions are visible to the user through the crafting surface.
