According to an embodiment, a voice recognition device includes one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to: recognize a voice signal representing a voice uttered by an object speaker, to generate text and meta information representing information that is not included in the text and included in the voice signal; generate an object presentation vector including a plurality of parameters representing a feature of a presentation uttered by the object speaker; calculate a similarity between the object presentation vector and a reference presentation vector including a plurality of parameters representing a feature of a presentation uttered by a reference speaker; and output the text. The one or more processors are further configured to determine whether to output the meta information based on the similarity, and upon determining to output the meta information, add the meta information to the text and output the meta information.

A remote testing and fitting system for hearing and method of using the same that includes a kit having hearing aids, foam tip inserts, a video scope and a bone oscillator. The hearing aids, video scope and bone oscillator are all connected to a software application that is downloaded to an electronic device. The software application is adapted to conduct both hearing tests and fitting procedures for the hearing aids.

A real-time audio transcription, video conferencing, and online collaboration system system includes a microphone that records audio from a lecturer, a camera that captures video from the lecturer and/or users, and a user interface for viewing a transcription of the audio. The audio recording is transmitted to a storage device, such as a personal computer or mobile device, which transmits the audio to a voice-to-text application for transcription. The storage device may do so via a third-party cloud server, a web application, or a software application. The transcribed text is then transmitted to a user interface for viewing by hearing-impaired persons. The transcribed text is provided in real-time with the lecturer and audio-recording and presented word-for-word to the user during transcription and may be edited in real-time to improve accuracy of the automatic transcription.

Methods and systems provide for a sign language interpreter view within a video communication session. In one embodiment, a method presents a user interface (“UI”) for each of a number of client devices connected to a communication session, each UI including one or more video feeds associated with participants of the communication session. The method receives a request from a first participant to be presented with a sign language interpreter (“SLI”) view within the UI; determines that a second participant is to be designated as a sign language interpreter for the communication session; and presents, within the UI of a client device associated with the first participant, an SLI view including at least a video feed of the second participant and a video feed of a highlighted speaker being interpreted by the second participant.
