Communication Application for Blind and Normal People with Deaf People (HOPE Tech)

Nowadays, communication and conveying the sense between deaf, blind, and other people are getting more challenging for those who do not know sign language. Also considering the worst case scenario of deaf and blind communication conditions, this problem is resolved by this new communication app as an independent one-person but two-way communication software or application App. So that people with any level of literacy and nationality or language can use this app to convey their words and phrases or their desires to deaf people on a daily basis. In this application, there are two interactive features: the first section takes audio conversations from blind or other people and plays the coherent sign language video. The second section converts the text to the audio message to make the deaf person communication possible, without knowing sign language.

This new communication method is not restricted to weather conditions, industrial environment (noise, dust and high temperatures). This application App can run on the android phone device, is very user friendly, and extendable to different languages compatibilities.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING ADJUNCT SENSORY INFORMATION TO A USER

A method for providing information to a user, the method including: receiving an input signal from a sensing device associated with a sensory modality of the user; generating a preprocessed signal upon preprocessing the input signal with a set of preprocessing operations; extracting a set of features from the preprocessed signal; processing the set of features with a neural network system; mapping outputs of the neural network system to a device domain associated with a device including a distribution of haptic actuators in proximity to the user; and at the distribution of haptic actuators, cooperatively producing a haptic output representative of at least a portion of the input signal, thereby providing information to the user.

Electronically displayed Braille dots are laterally propagated against a stationary finger resting on a stationary base for reading Braille. The lateral propagation takes the form of a transverse wave of pins which are raised and lowered in sequence. The reading can be synchronized with other processes or events under computer controls. A Braille display is provided employing electrowetting forces to control the sequential raising and lowering of the pins. Using layer-based manufacturing, the display is sized to a finger-worn device. A method of interactive reading is provided whereby the reading of Braille from the display is computer-synchronized with other events and processes to help users learn Braille, to monitor physiological responses to reading, and to enhance a user's reading experience. A children's Braille tablet is also provided.
