SYSTEMS FOR TRAINING FIREFIGHTERS AND FIRST RESPONDERS
Systems and methods for training firefighters and other first responders are provided. The systems include a plurality of sensors configured to detect at least one ambient condition, such as, temperature; a receiver configured to receive the electric signals from the plurality of sensors; and a digital storage device operatively connected to the receiver and adapted to store the electrical signals corresponding to the detected ambient conditions. The data detected by the sensors can be retrieved for later review, analysis, and training. The systems may include at least one video recorder and/or at least one infrared image recorder each configured to detect images that can be stored for later retrieval and a synchronizing device adapted to synchronize the sensor data with the recorded images for later review. Methods of implementing the systems and portable cases enclosing the system are also provided.
System and method of scanning an environment and generating two dimensional images of the environment
Systems and methods of generating two-dimensional (2D) images of an environment are provided. The systems includes a measurement device and a processor configured to generate a 2D image of an environment based at least in part on a number of 2D scans, a first translation value, a first translation direction, a second translation value, a second translation direction, a first rotation value, and a second rotation value. Generating the 2D image further includes generating a grid map that includes a plurality of cells, each of the plurality of cells indicating a probability of a cell area being occupied.

FACILITY FOR USE IN PROVIDING SIMULATED ENVIRONMENT
A facility for use in providing a simulated environment comprises a plurality of walls and a plurality of connectors for interconnecting the walls in at least two different configurations to form at least two rooms, a plurality of cameras, and a support structure configured to support the plurality of cameras above the height of the walls. In this way the cameras may be arranged such that the floor area all of the rooms is visible by the cameras in the different wall configurations. The facility may include one or more functions such as lighting, imagery, explosion, smoke generation, aroma generation, sound, appearance or movement of a target. The functions may be configured, for example via a user interface on a computing device, to be operated from any of control devices, e.g. wall mounted, trigger devices, e.g. hand held, or sensors.
A Floorplan Visualisation System
In one embodiment, there is provided a floorplan visualisation system. The system comprises a visualisation studio; a matrix of floor mounted visual display units defining a floor surface of the visualisation studio; a controller computer comprising: a user interface; and a video output operably coupled to the matrix of visual display units for controlling the video displayed from such. In use, the controller computer is configured for: receiving floor plan representative data; segmenting the floor plan representation data into a plurality of display segments; and outputting the plurality of display segments to respective visual display units.
Systems and methods of using a digital twin for interacting with a city model
Systems and methods interacting with tabletop models are provided herein. A display system includes a tabletop model, including a horizontal display that is configured to display a two-dimensional digital map and a three-dimensional physical model that is configured to overlay the two-dimensional digital map. The display system includes a mobile device including a camera configured to generate a camera image. The mobile renders a model image of the three-dimensional digital and overlays a camera image of the tabletop model with the model image. The mobile device determines a selection of an object based on a touch position on the model image.
