Kit for educational structures
A kit for creating educational structures includes a plurality of barbell-shaped pieces formed of a hook-and-loop tape material. The barbell-shaped pieces include a first end, a second end, and an elongated middle section extending the first and second end. The kit includes a hub having a plurality of petals formed on a perimeter thereof, the petals having a shape corresponding to a shape of the first and second ends of the barbell-shaped pieces. The hub is also formed of a hook-and-loop material and the barbell-shaped pieces are attachable thereto. A series of attachment pieces in the shape of landmasses of the Earth are also provided. The kit can be used to create the model of a globe, various three-dimensional shapes, grids, and can be utilized for a number of different educational purposes.
EXPERIMENTAL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR WHOLE-PROCESS SIMULATION OF SEEPAGE FAILURE IN FILLING-TYPE KARST MEDIA
A whole-process simulation experiment system has: a visualized model system with test samples and serving as a bearing device for the simulation of whole-process seepage of filling-type karst; a controllable support system supporting a visualized model box and controlling fluid seepage direction in the box by changing its inclination angle; a servo loading system controlling water pressure in the test process and providing four different loading modes for the box; a high-speed camera system recording water flow and particle motion in a transparent seepage model box in the seepage failure process; a comprehensive data measuring system monitoring and recording the change rules of factors including but not limited to seepage pressure, seepage amount and sand gushing amount in the seepage failure process; and an information analysis and feedback system recording and analyzing the seepage process and the whole seepage failure process in real time to achieve data processing and feedback.
Method and system for mapping terrain and operating autonomous machines using machine parameters
A system for mapping terrain using at least a first machine and a second machine traveling along the terrain includes a controller for each of the respective first and second machines. Each respective machine includes a plurality of sensors in electrical communication with the controller of each respective machine. The controller is configured to receive, from the plurality of sensors located on each respective machine a plurality of machine parameters indicative of sensed operations of the respective machine as the respective machine travels along the terrain. The controller is further configured to determine, based on the received machine parameters for the respective machine, a geometry and a grade of a plurality of paths on the terrain along which the respective machine travels.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SMART SAND TABLE DEMONSTRATION
Apparatus and method for smart sand table demonstration are provided. The demonstration apparatus includes: a sand table base, a sensor device, a demonstration device and a controller. The sensor device is placed on the sand table base which is also used as a demonstration carrier for the demonstration device. The sensor device includes a sensor module and a first wireless communication module, for monitoring a status of the sensor module and transmit the status information to the controller through a wireless connection. The controller determines demonstration information based at least one of smart demonstration project information and the status information, and transmits the demonstration information to the demonstration device. The demonstration device analyzes the received demonstration information and performs demonstration actions.
EDUCATIONAL COMPUTER PUZZLE
An educational tool provides for presenting a challenge to solve a puzzle game with multiple, differentiated levels of playing surfaces and puzzle pieces. A user may zoom dynamically in and out and shift between the levels of playing surfaces and/or puzzle pieces. A geographic map-based puzzle game may include multiple layers of a world level with an option for zooming to a continent level, with a further option for zooming to a country level with all of the options having the potential to provide various levels of specifics and information, etc. and further in or back out. Each level or playing surface and each puzzle piece may make educational elements available to the user, at the user's discretion. For example, in a map-based puzzle, each piece at the country level may also state the largest city and/or the capital of the country and also all important bodies of water surrounding each country along with name of the body of water for any waters surrounding the country.
