An adaptable luggage case and workspace combination stores personal effects for travel. The adaptable luggage case and workspace combination is able to be configured as a desk to provide a workspace for the user or as a rolling luggage case for travel. The adaptable luggage case and workspace combination includes a luggage case, a collapsible workstation, an electrical housing, a first pair of telescoping-leg supports, and a second pair of telescoping-leg supports. The luggage case allows storage and transportation of personal effects. The collapsible workstation is connected to a case lid. The collapsible workstation expands providing a workspace for the user. The electrical housing supports a rechargeable battery to provide power to mobile or electronic devices during travel. The first pair of telescoping-leg supports and the second pair of telescoping-leg supports support the luggage case when the adaptable luggage case and workspace combination is configured as a desk.

A collapsible suitcase has a bottom panel, a rear panel, two side panels, and a front panel. The rear panel, side panels, and front panel are connected to the bottom panel by hinges permitting them to be rotated from a folded position against the bottom panel to a deployed position perpendicular to the bottom panel. The side hinges have a clearance sufficiently greater than the clearance of the front hinge to allow the side hinges to lie flat on the front panel when folded, and the rear hinge has a sufficiently greater clearance than that of the side hinges to allow the rear panel to lie flat on the side panels when folded.

A portable cooler includes a first semicylindrical member defining a first aperture in a first side and a second aperture in a second side thereof. A second semicylindrical member is hingedly coupled with the first semicylindrical member. A cradle is removably positioned in the first semicylindrical member. The cradle can rotate with respect to the first semicylindrical member within the space defined by the first semicylindrical member. First and second wheels are rotatably coupled with the first semicylindrical member. First and second axles extend through the wheels and first semicylindrical member and into the cradle. The axles allow independent rotation of the cradle, the first semicylindrical member and the wheels to maintain a substantially horizontal rotational orientation of the cradle with respect to the first semicylindrical member.

A portable cooler includes a first semicylindrical member defining a first aperture in a first side and a second aperture in a second side thereof. A second semicylindrical member is hingedly coupled with the first semicylindrical member. A cradle is removably positioned in the first semicylindrical member. The cradle can rotate with respect to the first semicylindrical member within the space defined by the first semicylindrical member. First and second wheels are rotatably coupled with the first semicylindrical member. First and second axles extend through the wheels and first semicylindrical member and into the cradle. An integrated luggage apparatus includes: a rear shell, a front shell hingedly attached to the rear shell by a hinged attachment, a cart base fixedly attached to a bottom of the rear shell; a cart frame pivotally attached to the cart base; at least one wheel assembly; and a handle assembly. When the front shell is rotated about a hinged attachment and comes into contact with the rear shell, both the front shell and the rear shell define a space for a person to pack personal items, such as clothing.

A luggage case includes a pair of shoulder hooks mounted on a telescoping assembly that extends from the luggage case to allow the user to place the shoulder hooks over the user's shoulders and tow the luggage case without having need for the user to use their hand(s) to tow the luggage case. The shoulder hooks are configured to swivel so that, when the telescoping assembly is collapsed, the shoulder hooks are received in respective pockets formed the top of the luggage case, and when the telescoping assembly is extended to a desired length, the shoulder hooks can be rotated to hook over the user's shoulders.

A luggage item (1) comprising a rigid, essentially rectangular box (3), comprising an essentially planar floor and two longer and two shorter sides, there being mounted on the major axis of the floor a telescopic pulling member (17) equipped with a pulling handle (18), characterised in that (a) the pulling member is mounted externally on the floor by means of a pivot (8) and can move through a fixed arc, the extremities of which arc are appropriate for sliding a luggage item on a staircase, the pulling member being lockable in a position coinciding with the major axis; (b) the luggage item comprises a secondary retaining means that prevents the pulling member being pulled out of the plane of the arc; and (c) the longer sides are provided with means (14) allowing sliding movement on a staircase.

The luggage item can easily be pulled up and down stairs.

A luggage component includes a case extending between a lower end and an upper end and includes a front wall, a rear wall and a side wall extending therebetween. At least one wheel extends from the rear wall proximate the upper end. At least one fixed position wheel extends from the side wall along the lower end proximate the front wall. At least one multi-function wheel extends relative to the side wall and the rear wall such that the multi-function wheel is positionable to provide a rolling surface relative to the side wall and positionable to provide a rolling surface relative to the rear wall. The luggage component also includes an adjustable handle assembly which includes a housing extending along the rear wall with an end portion thereof extending beyond the case upper end. The end portion defines a stop surface and at least one slot extending parallel to the side wall. At least one handle shaft is configured to extend from the housing in a direction parallel with the rear wall. The handle shaft is configured to pivot within the slot when the at least one handle shaft is fully extended from the housing.

Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture for an articulated luggage handle are disclosed and described. An example articulated luggage handle apparatus includes a handle; a shaft attached to the handle, the handle movable with respect to the shaft without affecting a position of the shaft; and an attachment mechanism to attach the shaft to luggage. Another example articulated luggage handle apparatus includes a handle; and a shaft in articulated connection to the handle, the handle movable via the articulated connection in a plurality of directions with respect to the shaft without affecting a position of the shaft and attached luggage.

An article of rolling luggage is provided. The article has a retractable or collapsible handle that is convertible between a stored position and a first extended position of use. The handle is also rotatable about an axis such that the handle can be converted between a second extended position of use. The second extended position of use is characterized in that the luggage item may be provided such that a base portion of the item is substantially adjacent to and parallel with a ground surface. Various locking means to enable conversion between the stored position, first extended position of use and second extended position of use are also provided.
